The trailer hints that Jackson could face an attack by the infected, which isn’t typical in the game, or at least not to the extent suggested in the trailer. As of now, we’re uncertain about how much of the second game will be incorporated into season 2. It seems like it might span a wide range of events, as we catch glimpses of crucial moments later in Ellie’s story and significant flashback scenes involving Joel and Ellie.
As an avid fan, I must share my excitement about “The Last of Us” being divided into four seasons, with each season adapting the remaining parts of the second game. For those unfamiliar with the game, it might seem like an extended tale, but trust me, it’s a lengthy and intricately woven story that spans around 25 hours. Given its depth and multiple layers, it seems fitting for HBO to split this captivating narrative into three seasons of approximately seven episodes each. At the moment, it appears unlikely that there will be more seasons beyond these, as franchise creator Neil Druckmann has expressed uncertainty about a “Last of Us Part 3,” even though he had previously hinted at its development.
