During the vacation period, my youngest child (age 4) took a significant step into the realm of video gaming – venturing beyond Minecraft for the first time. While I’m fond of Minecraft, it’s refreshing to have some diversity, as I don’t want to expose him to Roblox, given that my eldest has already become engrossed in it. His newfound interest was ignited by Lego City Undercover, which is essentially a child-friendly adaptation of GTA (excluding the violence). Being an open-world game like other Lego titles, it offers smooth local multiplayer.
Lego games are ideal for parents who wish to play video games with younger kids since the child can play independently, while I can easily join in to assist – though I frequently find myself playing alone to unlock characters and tools when he’s not around (though don’t tell him). After completing Lego City Undercover, I delved into more Lego titles, some of which I have revisited from the past. I was delighted to discover that many of these older games still maintain their quality. In addition, since they are older, they are affordably priced on my preferred website, CDKeys. Prices there often undercut the official Xbox and Steam stores, enabling me to acquire numerous titles during the holidays.
