LEGO Harry Potter Games Getting New Remaster Soon

LEGO Harry Potter Games Getting New Remaster Soon

As a seasoned gamer who has spent countless hours immersed in the magical world of Harry Potter since the early 2000s, this news about the remastered LEGO Harry Potter Collection feels like a warm, familiar embrace from an old friend. The nostalgia is palpable, and I can’t help but smile at the thought of exploring Hogwarts once more in crisp, high-definition graphics.

As a devoted Potterhead and LEGO enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share the news that WB Games is remastering both of its beloved LEGO Harry Potter games! The original LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4, which mirrored the first four movies in the blockbuster film series, was released way back in 2010. In 2011, we got LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7, and together they formed the LEGO Harry Potter Collection, launching in 2016. Fast forward to now, eight years later, WB Games is planning to reintroduce these cherished LEGO games with some exciting updates tailored for modern gaming hardware.

As part of the “Back to Hogwarts” event today, WB Games unveiled that they are releasing once more the LEGO Harry Potter Collection on current-generation systems. The game is scheduled for release on October 8th and will be accessible on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam at a price of $39.99. WB Games indicated that the remastered version will feature “improvements such as 60 FPS, native 4K resolution, haptic feedback, and high-resolution shadow maps.” It’s worth noting that the remaster will only be available digitally and there are currently no plans for a physical release (at least at this time).

In the upcoming days, Harry Potter enthusiasts should get ready for a fresh video game connected to the series, titled “Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions“. On September 3rd, WB Games will officially release this multiplayer-oriented game that revolves entirely around the magical sport of Quidditch. This game is planned to be compatible with both current and previous generation platforms, and it will also become a monthly feature for PlayStation Plus subscribers, meaning those who have the PlayStation subscription service can enjoy playing it at no additional cost when it becomes available later this week.
