LEGO Horizon Adventures Trailer Features a Singing Thunderjaw

As an old-school gamer who’s seen more than a few sunsets in the gaming world, I must say the trailer for LEGO Horizon Adventures has certainly piqued my interest. Having spent countless hours in the gritty and intense world of Horizon Zero Dawn, the lighter touch this spin-off seems to offer is a refreshing change.

Guerrilla Games and Studio Gobo have just released a fresh trailer for LEGO Horizon Adventures, showcasing Aloy confronting an angry Thunderjaw. But instead of continuing with action, they break into song, as Aloy belts out “Tubthumper” by Chumbawamba, a famous tune from the 90s. Incredibly, even the Thunderjaw starts to croon along. You can watch this unexpected spectacle below.

If the trailer didn’t already give it away, LEGO Horizon Adventures exhibits a more playful tone compared to Guerrilla’s primary series. While it shares the setting of Horizon Zero Dawn, with Aloy on a quest to find her mother in a post-apocalyptic landscape, it opts for humor over many of the grimmer aspects. Unlike traditional LEGO games that focus heavily on collecting Studs (although it maintains a similar perspective), this game also offers cooperative play.

The game titled “LEGO Horizon Adventures” is set to release on November 14th, available for PC, Nintendo Switch, and PS5. It was polished up around the end of October and labeled as ‘gold’. The estimated playtime to finish it ranges between seven to eight hours. For those interested, there’s a Digital Deluxe Edition offering costumes inspired by “Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart” and “LittleBigPlanet’s” Sackboy.
