As a passionate fan, I’ve been eagerly anticipating the release of NEOWIZ’s masterpiece, Lies of P, which has garnered over seven million players and received widespread critical acclaim, particularly among Souls-like enthusiasts who also adore Bloodborne. The community has been clamoring for features like the ability to reface bosses or even a boss rush mode, and I’m thrilled to announce that NEOWIZ is delivering on this with their upcoming expansion, Overture, set to launch this Summer!
According to IGN’s preview, Battle Memories allows you to face off against previously defeated bosses across five difficulty levels, with each level introducing unique stats. The Death March mode serves as your pass for a continuous boss battle challenge, testing just how far you can progress. You are required to choose at least three bosses to fight, but it appears there’s no cap on the number of battles you can engage in.
It appears that NEOWIZ has subtly suggested rewards without providing further clarification. These modes will become accessible at no cost when the game ‘Overture’ is released. However, it remains unclear whether the bosses from the expansion can be chosen in these modes. Given how the new difficulty options relate to both the main game and the expansion, it seems likely that this will indeed be the case.
The opening act of “Lies of P: Overture” is set to release on Xbox One, Xbox Series X & S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC platforms. To learn more about the initial version of the game, feel free to read our review located here.
