In the Lies of P: Overture DLC expansion, Arlecchino, The Blood Artist serves as the ultimate adversary. Defeating him without understanding his vulnerabilities can be quite challenging. True to his bloodthirsty character, he fights like a truly unhinged marionette, launching constant attacks and darting about in an unpredictable manner. However, with our guidance, you’ll learn how to exploit his weaknesses and fend off his onslaughts effectively.
Arlecchino, The Blood Artist Weaknesses | Lies of P: Overture
In the puppet Arlecchino, the primary vulnerability lies in any form of Electric Blitz damage. To make the most of this weakness, consider using weapons that naturally inflict such damage, like the Electric Coil Stick or Fulminis Legion Arm. Additionally, you might want to have buff items for your non-elemental weapons handy, such as Electric Blitz Abrasives or the Electric Blitz Grindstone, which can enhance their effectiveness against Arlecchino.
Additionally, you might want to consider the Electric Blitz Canister and Throwing Cell as viable options in this scenario. These items can be effectively thrown at Arlecchino to inflict substantial damage from a distance. Moreover, they are excellent for accumulating and inflicting the Electric Shock status effect!
Besides suffering electric shocks, Arlecchino appears to be vulnerable to acid attacks too. It’s best to concentrate on the Electric Blitz attack if possible, but using both at once could result in triggering both the Decay and Electric Shock effects simultaneously.
In addition to Arlecchino not inherently having weaknesses, it’s advisable to keep some Purification Ampoules on hand. During phase 2, Arlecchino can impose the “Break” status effect, significantly reducing your healing capabilities. Be sure to avoid this situation!
Other Tips for Beating Arlecchino
In phase 1, Arlecchino tends to be quite direct as a boss, mostly focusing on repeating a series of combos. These provide an excellent opportunity for you to strike back, so make sure to land your attacks when he concludes one of these sequences!
In an ideal scenario, you should aim to interrupt Arlecchino’s sequences, a tactic that might temporarily disable him. This offers an excellent opportunity to unleash stronger attacks or heal yourself if necessary, making it quite beneficial. However, be cautious as he may retaliate with Fury Attacks during his combos. Always watch for the telltale red glow to signal these attacks.
Arlecchino Phase 2 Tips
As a devoted fan, I can tell you that Phase 2 is when the action really ramps up, but Arlecchino still maintains a semblance of simplicity. In this stage, he doesn’t have too many tricks up his sleeve, yet he compensates with an unyielding flurry of combos and Fury Attacks. His agility is also worth noting! Just as in Phase 1, it’s crucial to aim for Perfect Blocks whenever you can.
Once phase 2 commences, Arlecchino will bound towards the stage’s center and initiate a unique offensive maneuver. This move recurrently appears during the battle, especially when his health falls below 60%, but it may not always occur.
Alright,
You’ve reached a crucial moment in the game. Arlecchino, the menacing villain, is about to unleash his signature move. He’ll summon eight blood-red skulls that will chase you relentlessly, coming at you in pairs. You’ve got two options: Perfect Block these skulls or dodge them deftly. Once they’re all out of the way, beware! Arlecchino will lunge towards you with a ferocious dive, followed by a whirlwind of blood surrounding him. Prepare to Perfect Block if you’ve got the skill, or start running like crazy as soon as you’ve dealt with those pesky skulls. Keep your wits about you, gamer!
Regarding additional tricks, Arlecchino usually finishes combos by sweeping in a wide arc either in front or around him. This action creates a red mist of blood, which explodes after a short delay. Be cautious and prepared to dodge the explosion to prevent taking damage from it.
As the battle progresses, Arlecchino will subsequently abandon electric spinning blades. For a short while, these hover in mid-air before zeroing in on you, much like the previous blood skulls. Make sure to be prepared to either execute a Perfect Block or evade as they draw near.
