Originally, the DLC expansion for the game titled “The Lies of P: Overture” was scheduled to be released within the summer of 2025. However, a recent trailer for the game has confirmed its exact release date, and it’s arriving much sooner than expected.
The theme “Overture” is available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC at a price of $29.99, as revealed in the Summer Game Fest trailer. In this launch trailer, you’ll catch glimpses of some formidable bosses and breathtaking environments, followed by an unexpected release date announcement.
Alongside a significant expansion for the game, this additional content also arrives, featuring a sizable free update. In this update, you’ll find two new difficulty settings made for easier play, as well as two modes specifically designed for battling bosses. The details of this update, including patch notes, haven’t been released yet, but the list of achievements related to it has been made available.
Initially, some people thought it might be a “shadow drop,” due to hints given prior to the event. Later on, this theory was supported when a leaked trailer emerged from the Xbox store.
