Like a Dragon Developer Announces New Game

As a longtime enthusiast of the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series, I must admit that the announcement of Project Century has me thoroughly intrigued! The blend of humor and intense combat displayed in the trailer is reminiscent of the franchise’s signature style, but the setting in 1915 Japan adds an enticing twist.

During The Game Awards event, Sega and studio Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio unveiled “Project Century”, a new game that takes place in Japan in 1915. While information about the game is currently scarce, the trailer showcased both comedic elements and intense fighting sequences. As of now, there’s no confirmed release date or platform, but given Sega’s history with their Yakuza and Like a Dragon games, it’s likely that Project Century will be playable on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.

It’s worth noting that as of now, it’s undetermined whether Project Century belongs to the Like a Dragon series. While the trailer suggests a strong possibility, it might simply be a new IP until we receive an official confirmation. In the meantime, fans are speculating and we can only wait to find out how (or if) it connects with the rest of the franchise. Here’s the full trailer for Project Century: [Trailer Link]
