Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii – Sea Dog Style, Locations, Playspots, and More Revealed

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I must say that the announcement of Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii has sent a wave of excitement coursing through my veins! Having played every single installment of the Yakuza series since the original on the PlayStation 2, I can confidently say that Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio never ceases to amaze me with their innovative ideas and immersive gameplay.

The game titled “Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii” has been unveiled and is set to be released early next year on consoles and PC. At the RGG Summit, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio shared details about various gameplay elements, including the fighting styles within the game.

In the new game, the main character, Majima, employs two distinctive fighting styles: Mad Dog Style and Sea Dog Style, which he utilized in prior games. The Mad Dog Style enables swift attacks with a tanto, and Majima can even conjure shadow duplicates to assist him in combat and imitate his moves. On the other hand, the Sea Dog Style equips Majima with dual cutlasses for extensive area attacks. Additionally, he carries a flintlock pistol for long-range assaults and a chain hook to reel enemies closer.

As you journey to destinations such as Hawaii from “Infinite Wealth”, the freshly introduced Rich Island and Madlantis, sailing on open seas is also part of the experience. The developer has also verified that a Colosseum exists in Madlantis, likely a place where you’ll confront many pirate adversaries. Noteworthy play areas include Crazy Delivery, the revival of Dragon Kart and Karaoke, as well as a live-action setting with the Minato Girls.

On February 28th, 2025, the game titled “Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii” will be released for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. Keep an eye out for further information in the upcoming months.
