Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has unveiled a new “Like a Dragon” Direct event scheduled for January 9th at 9 am PST. This special broadcast will provide initial glimpses and an immersive exploration of gameplay mechanics for the upcoming spin-off title, “Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii,” which is the next installment in the series from the developer. Fortunately, there won’t be any plot spoilers shared during this event.
Titled “Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii,” the story begins as Majima Goro finds himself on Rich Island, devoid of his past memories. As time passes, he assumes command over a pirate ship and crew, embarking on voyages to Nele Island and eventually Honolulu, having been given resources from Infinite Wealth. The game allows players to participate in sea battles and board enemy ships, defeating adversaries using the latest Sea Dog Style, which incorporates cutlasses and firearms.
On February 21st, “Like a Dragon: Pirate’s Alliance in Paradise” will be released on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC. Much like its predecessor, “Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name“, it is a spin-off from the main series. However, this new installment boasts a 30% increase in length compared to previous games, offering an extended experience for fans and newcomers alike. Catch a glimpse of gameplay across diverse locations and listen to the English voice cast before its official release.
