From the death hoax to the heart surgery, it’s clear that this young artist has faced more challenges than most people twice her age. Approximately a year and a half since rumors of her death circulated, as shared on her social media platforms, it appears that Lil Tay has had a heart operation while dealing with a personal health issue.
On the 13th of September, a video from an echocardiogram test of the rapper was circulated on their verified Instagram and TikTok accounts, accompanied by the message, “Tay has been diagnosed with a serious heart condition requiring immediate prayers and well wishes.” The next day, another video emerged showing the teenager peacefully sleeping in a hospital bed.

For about a year now, the young social media sensation, once well-known for their influencing work from childhood, has been largely absent from online platforms.
In August 2023, after staying out of the public spotlight for several years due to a custody dispute between her parents (Angela Tian and Christopher Hope), a post was made on Angela Tian’s Instagram announcing the deaths of Tay and her brother Jason.
On the subsequent day, her family issued a statement through TMZ, clarifying that she and her brother were secure and living, yet deeply saddened, and finding it challenging to express their feelings adequately. They described the preceding 24 hours as extremely distressing.
I’d like to clarify a situation I recently encountered – my Instagram account unfortunately fell into the wrong hands, leading to the dissemination of unsettling misinformation and unfounded rumors about me. To make matters worse, even my name was incorrectly stated as ‘Claire Hope‘, when in reality, my legal name is Tay Tian.
In the following weeks, I was thrilled to share the news through my social media platforms that Tian had been officially given the legal authority by my legal team to ink deals on my behalf. A significant milestone indeed!
In September 2023, the artist resurfaced on social media for her initial live broadcast in half a decade. This comeback included a performance on a live session and the release of her latest music video titled “Sucker 4 Green.” Notably, various news sources claimed she was 14 years old at that time.
In November, when she was 16 years old (as reported by Rolling Stone, using court records as a source), Taylor continued to express more about her return to the spotlight.
