As a devoted fan of Emily in Paris, I must say that the show has become more than just a simple TV series for me – it’s a journey through the heart and soul of a young woman chasing her dreams. And Mindy, our dear Emily, embodies that spirit so beautifully. Her move to Paris was not just about work; it was a leap towards rekindling her passion for art and fashion.
For Ashley Park and Paul Forman, the sparks were flying onscreen before they became an IRL couple.
For the actors portraying Emily, Mindy Chen, and Nicolas de Léon in “Emily in Paris,” their convincing on-screen romance stemmed directly from their real-life rapport.
In an exclusive chat with TopMob News, Park expressed that our relationship began on a very positive note. We genuinely enjoyed working side by side, and as a team member, I admired collaborating with him, while also appreciating his acting skills as my scene partner.
As a lifestyle expert, I’d put it this way: “Even before Paul and I had officially confirmed our relationship status, my dear co-star Lily Collins showed genuine interest, inquiring about the romantic nature of our bond.”
But when the lead actress questioned her onscreen BFF about it, she got shut down.
She went on to explain, “Lily was the one who initiated it initially and I responded, ‘That’s not going to happen.’ Later, when things developed quite intensely, I realized I needed to confess because I had lied to her.” (Tune in to TopMob News at 11 p.m. for more with the cast of Emily in Paris.)
In October 2023, Park and Forman, who both appeared for the first time in season three of a popular Netflix series, ignited speculation about their relationship after they were observed attending a Hollywood gathering together.
In early January, it was publicly announced by the actress from “Joy Ride” that she was in a relationship. Additionally, she disclosed that she had been dealing with a personal health issue. Specifically, she had come down with tonsillitis, which escalated into an infection causing her to experience severe septic shock.
She expressed on Instagram, “Paul, you alleviated my worries and stayed by my side during ambulance rides, multiple foreign hospitals, a week in the ICU, intimidating ERs, countless scans, tests, and injections, intense pain, and immense confusion. All of this happened while we were isolated on the other side of the world, away from our familiar faces. I love you, Paul, more than words can express.”
Currently, Park expresses her gratitude for having overcome the challenging situation. She shared with TopMob News, “I’m clearly here and in this place,” she said, “which is far from what I ever anticipated I could accomplish at this point in my life.”
When the time arrived to shoot again with Forman for season four, Park found herself needing to adjust to something new: The British accent of her co-star on screen.
She acknowledged her gratitude for Paul joining her, given her current health situation, but then recalled, “However, I had forgotten that his character on the show speaks with a French accent. That distinct accent made me forget that it was actually him.”

Here I am, your humble narrator, thrilled to share some exciting news! The enchanting journey of Emily in Paris continues as we delve into season four, streaming live on Netflix starting August 15. Let’s unravel the mysteries and explore the City of Love together – stay tuned for more updates on this captivating tale!
With the way season three concluded, leaving Alfie single and downcast, one can’t help but wonder if we’ll see him return for another round in season four.
While we can’t say for certain, we can report that Lucien Laviscount certainly hopes so.
Speaking to TopMob News at the December 15th premiere in New York City, the actor portraying Alfie expressed his delight about potentially returning. However, he admitted that the two seasons he’s spent on this show have been exceptionally remarkable for him. He added that it’s been a truly unique and special experience.
Should Alfie reappear again, Lucien playfully hinted that the focus might shift towards Alfie seeking “retribution” and revealing a darker, more sinister side of himself.
Count us in.
Given that Camille is expecting a child believed to be Gabriel’s and she admitted on their wedding day that Emily would make a better match for her own fiancé, it appears quite improbable that there remains much friendly soil between Camille and Emily.
But don’t tell that to Camille Razat.
“I hope that Emily and Camille stay friends,” Camille exclusively told TopMob News. “I do.”
If they can figure out a way to make it work, there’s hope for all of us.
In my latest reflection as a lifestyle expert, I find myself pondering over the cliffhanger of season three – the enigmatic email sent by none other than Julien (Samuel Arnold). This cryptic message seems to suggest that he’s prepared to bid farewell to Agence Grateau and move forward.
Samuel aspires that his character finds career success in the future, and he understands that Julien’s achievements transcend the boundaries of the program, having implications beyond it.
He shared with TopMob News his strong desire for his character to achieve professional success, stating, “I hope he can not only emerge victorious, but also serve as an inspiration. After all, a young man like him in this particular industry can truly reach great heights and even touch the stars. I believe that there are many individuals who see themselves reflected in Julien, and I would be thrilled if they could witness his victory.”
In the season three finale, Benoit (Kevin Dias) reveals to Mindy (Ashley Park) that their song is headed to the Eurovision Song Contest. For the uninitiated, Eurovision is an over-the-top international songwriting contest featuring artists representing primarily European countries which has helped launch the careers of the likes of ABBA, Céline Dion and the late Olivia Newton-John.
If you found the revelation startling, don’t worry – Ashley did as well! She shared with TopMob News that she was equally taken aback, saying, “That took me by surprise too. I thought, ‘Whoa, like Eurovision? Eurovision?'”
But hold on, is the show actually headed to Eurovision in season four?
According to Darren Star, the show creator, there’s a strong possibility that we’ll see Mindy pursuing her artistic dreams again, as she did in Paris. He mentioned that they have an exceptional Eurovision-style song that could potentially be quite competitive. This aspect seems crucial for Mindy, and it’s what drew her to Paris. He believes this experience will rekindle her passion and ambition.
Get the strobe lights ready!
In the third season, Emily, Gabriel, and Alfie journey through Provence and the enchanting French countryside, however, they have not ventured beyond its borders just yet.
That should all change in season four—if the cast has anything to do with it, that is.
Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, who portrays the character Sylvie, revealed to TopMob News, “There are countless places we could visit! We might as well travel. Perhaps we could take Emily to Italy. I personally would adore a trip to Italy alongside Emily since Sylvie is fluent in Italian and can communicate in Rome.”
While Samuel Arnold plans to bring Julien to America to test himself against the Americans, Lily Collins expresses her wish for Emily to visit Denmark or Japan.
Emily in Tokyo, anyone?
Speculation arose when Kim Cattrall turned heads at the premiere of Emily in Paris on December 6, leading us to ponder if she might be joining the cast for season four.
Lily Collins shared with TopMob News that it was delightful to listen to Kim discuss the show, as she’s a strong advocate, and we’re incredibly thankful for her support. When asked about this topic before, we responded, “Darren? I’m not sure if anyone has any information.” We’re still unsure of the details.
Certainly, it’s Darren Star, the genius behind the series “Emily in Paris,” whom you might also recognize as the creator of the hit show “Sex and the City.” In that latter series, Sarah Jessica Parker’s character, Samantha Jones, shone brilliantly for six memorable seasons.
Darren said during an interview with SiriusXM on December 20th, “It’s important to discover the perfect fit for her since she doesn’t desire to appear as Kim or Samantha. Instead, we need to find something unique and suitable for her exceptional talents.”
That’s no small feat—but it won’t stop us from getting our hopes up.
Sure, season three just premiered—but we’re impatient!
The initial season debuted in October 2020; the second one was released in December 2021, and considering that the third season came out in December 2022, it might not be unreasonable to expect a late 2023 premiere for the next season.
That still gives us plenty of time to emotionally prepare.
