Line it is Drawn: Celebrating 50 Years of the All-New, All-Different X-Men

Hi there! Every week I post something for discussion here. To participate, just tag @csbg with your response, and our artists will pick one of your ideas to draw based on. We’ll then share their work inspired by your idea every week. So, you’ll get a new topic each week and see the choices made from the previous week!

59 pm Pacific Time on Saturday.

Feel free to connect with me not only on Twitter but also on Bluesky! Don’t hesitate to share your ideas over there too! I will be posting prompts on both platforms.

The topic for next week’s Line is…

As a seasoned gamer, I can’t wait to dive into a fresh take on a timeless Line theme that’s been off the table for some time now. It’s about bringing comic book heroes to life in the style of iconic music videos. Can’t wait for our newbies to draw it!

Read on for the drawings that came about courtesy of the last question/challenge!

Hey there fellow gamers! To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the All-New, All-Different X-Men, I’d love to share my dream team roster. Here it goes:

1. Cyclops (Scott Summers) – The leader with unparalleled strategic vision and powerful optic blasts.
2. Storm (Ororo Munroe) – A weather-controlling powerhouse who brings both strength and wisdom to the team.
3. Wolverine (James Howlett) – The best there is at what he does, a fearless warrior with unbreakable adamantium claws.
4. Beast (Henry McCoy) – A brilliant scientist and empath who provides invaluable tactical advice and medical support.
5. Rogue (Anna Marie) – A young, strong-willed X-Man with the ability to absorb powers from others, learning to control her abilities.
6. Nightcrawler (Kurt Wagner) – The teleporting, blue-skinned mutant who brings agility and a sense of humor to our team.
7. Jean Grey (Jean Grey) – A powerful psychic with the ability to manipulate matter and energy, as well as a deep connection to the Phoenix Force.

Now, I’d love to see which lineup our artists choose to draw from my suggested roster! Let the X-traordinary adventure begin!

Enjoy!
