Line of Duty and Good Omens stars join new Sir Kenneth Branagh thriller

As a film enthusiast with a soft spot for psychological thrillers and British cinematography, I must say that the upcoming production of “The Last Disturbance of Madeline Hynde” has me thoroughly intrigued! The sheer talent assembled for this project is nothing short of astonishing.

It appears that after Jodie Comer was confirmed to star in Kenneth Branagh‘s upcoming thriller movie, The Last Disturbance of Madeline Hynde, a few months ago, the remaining cast members have recently been finalized as well.

It seems that Branagh’s enigmatic upcoming film is gathering steam as it gathers a well-known cast.

The principal actors for this production, as reported by Deadline, are currently unspecified in terms of their roles; however, they are confirmed to be Patricia Arquette, Michael Sheen, Tom Bateman, and Vicky McClure.

Moreover, the list doesn’t stop there! Michael Balogun (Top Boy), Kristina Tonteri-Young (Warrior Nun), Karla Crome (Misfits), Aiysha Hart (Line of Duty), and Gemma Whelan (The Tower) have also been added to the cast.

Currently, the plot of the movie is kept confidential, but it’s been both written and directed by Branagh, a renowned figure in the film industry who has steered numerous productions and played Hercule Poirot in Murder on the Orient Express, Death on the Nile, and A Haunting in Venice.

As a devoted admirer, I’m thrilled to share that Kenneth Branagh, the maestro behind the critically acclaimed Belfast, will be reuniting with some of his esteemed colleagues on The Last Disturbance of Madeline Hynde. Tamar Thomas, Laura Berwick, and Becca Kovacik are joining forces with him once again, as are Matthew Jenkins and Maximum Effort’s dynamic duo, Ashley Fox and Johnny Pariseau. I can hardly wait to see the magic they weave on this new project!

In May, the news about Actress Comer’s role in the upcoming film was disclosed, however, the specific part she will portray remains undisclosed. The movie is being referred to as a “modern psychological suspense story”.

Boasting an impressive lineup of acting talents, this upcoming film is bound to spark conversations, with its filming process now commencing in the United Kingdom.

Lately, it’s been announced that Arquette will join forces with Zazie Beetz (from Joker) and Tom Felton (Harry Potter series) in the upcoming movie “They Will Kill You”. This film revolves around a woman who finds herself entangled within a puzzling cult-like community.

In other shows, Sheen has made a recent appearance on our screens in “The Assembly,” and McClure is expected to join us in the upcoming season of “Who Do You Think You Are?” following her recent work in “Insomnia.”

Speaking as a film critic, I’ve had the pleasure of witnessing Michael Douglas’s recent performances, such as his side-splitting role in Sky comedy “Funny Woman” with Gemma Arterton. Yet, it’s his gripping portrayal in the critically acclaimed series “Based on a True Story” that truly stands out. In this chilling production, he shares screen time with Kaley Cuoco and Chris Messina, delivering an unforgettable performance as a notorious serial killer.
