Linkin Park has fashioned an unparalleled career and unique sound, and their substantial body of work testifies to this fact.
On May 31st, they will unveil their 25-year history during the Pepsi’s UEFA Champions League Final Kick Off Show held at the Munich Football Arena.
Overcoming both breathtaking peaks and heartrending valleys, most notably the untimely passing of their lead vocalist Chester Bennington in July 2017, this band has shown incredible resilience, carving out a unique nu-metal sound that transcends various rock and rap music genres.
Seven years after taking a break, the music group – comprising Mike Shinoda (vocals & rhythm guitar), Brad Delson (lead guitar), Dave ‘Phoenix’ Farrell (bass), and Joe Hahn (turntables) – have returned with fresh faces. Emily Armstrong is their new lead singer, while Colin Brittain joins on drums. This marks a brand-new chapter for the band.
Here’s everything the band have released to date.

Notably, the standout track was “Numb/Encore,” which won the group a Grammy for Best Collaboration in the Rap/Sung category. This single has been certified platinum in the UK.

On September 6, 2024, it was officially revealed that Emily Armstrong would be taking over as the main vocalist for the band, through a live broadcast from the group. Notably, Armstrong had been a part of the band Dead Sara before this new role.
During an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music, Armstrong expressed her wish to honor Chester’s legacy by saying, “I hope I can make him proud,” and shared that she felt a bit nervous about joining the band.
She explained to Lowe, “What I meant was there was a strong emotional connection.” She continued, “I didn’t want to act arrogant by saying ‘I’m the singer,’ or even imply it. My focus was solely on what would benefit the band as a fan. What kind of voice or energy would fit best?
As a movie buff, I chose to step back and assess objectively, pondering which choice would be the best fit. This thought remained with me throughout my performance, as I sang and acted.
They’ve since won Best Group and Best Hard Rock Act at the Billboard Awards.
