Even though viewers might still be processing the end of The White Lotus season 3, there’s already talk about season 4! Speculation is brewing regarding its potential plot and the possible new faces joining the anthology series’ ensemble cast.

In an unusual turn of events, it seems that one actress has decided against participating in the series due to its potential darkness. She expressed her concerns, stating that the content could be too heavy for her.

In question, the interviewee is Lisa Kudrow, renowned from “Friends,” engaged in a conversation with Parker Posey, star of “The White Lotus” season 3, for Variety’s Actor-to-Actor series.

Kudrow subsequently commented: “I might not be his preferred flavor, and that’s perfectly fine. However, I do get apprehensive about portraying overly dark roles; I generally steer clear of them. But you didn’t necessarily need to, except for the scenes where your character meets a violent end. Yet, it’s all just make-believe.

To clarify, although Kudrow didn’t explicitly rule out a return to the series, there remains a possibility that enthusiastic fans may yet see her grace one of the featured hotels.

Recently, Kudrow has been featured in shows like “Time Bandits” and “No Good Deed”, along with the dark comedy-horror movie “The Parenting”. Interestingly, Posey was also part of this production.

As for The White Lotus season 4, we’re still not clear on many details – including where it might take place. However, Francesca Orsi, HBO’s drama chief, hinted to Deadline that there’s a good possibility it could be set in Europe. Mike White, the show’s creator, also suggested that this season could deviate from its previous beach-side locations.

He shared with Deadline, “I’d like to step away from the rocky shore vernacular a bit for Season 4, yet I see potential for even more murder mysteries unfolding within the White Lotus resorts.
