Lisa Vanderpump shares some fresh insights about the latest team at SUR, following the complete cast overhaul ahead of the upcoming Season 12 on Bravo’s series.

As an over-the-moon fan, I can tell you firsthand that things are unfolding at breakneck speed on the set of the current season, as I shared with the fantastic duo Justin Sylvester and Keltie Knight during our chat on TopMob News back on May 8th. However, let me assure you, this new chapter is a far cry from the original series. Naturally, it needs to be different – that tale has already been written.

However, it’s clear that the fresh team at Lisa’s SUR restaurant is expected to deliver just as much dramatic flair as the original Bravo cast members.

The man, aged 64, remarked, “It’s possible to shoot that series every day of the year.” He added, “Some long-term employees inevitably bring along their own issues, while there are also fresh faces joining the team.

But Lisa refuses to pick a favorite between the original and new casts.

“I can’t say that yet,” the restauranteur added. “Different. You can say different.”

Currently, Lisa is keeping herself occupied by hosting her Hulu reality series “Vanderpump Villa.” Notably, she collaborated with ex-star of “VPR”, Stassi Schroeder, for the latest second season – a reunion that marks their first joint appearance since Stassi departed from the show in 2020 under less than favorable circumstances.

Lisa admitted that she desired her friend’s company once more, believing she would be a perfect fit. She felt it was necessary for her friend to return to reality TV, and she herself needed someone to interact with.

Additionally, Lisa made efforts to resolve her years-long conflict with Kyle Richards, a previous close friend and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member. It seems that the possibility of them rekindling their friendship may not be entirely out of reach.

Lisa reminisced about how much joy she experienced, “I truly miss the enjoyable moments,” she said. “What I long for isn’t the negativity, harshness, yelling, and accusations. No, it’s the fun aspect that drew me in. Currently, I’m having a blast on Vanderpump Villa and Vanderpump Rules. A touch of heat and excitement is definitely present.

Regarding Kyle disclosing that she almost purchased a property next to Lisa’s Bel-Air mansion, following her separation from her former spouse, Mauricio Umansky, it appears that the SUR proprietor prefers living close to another wealthy individual instead.

“I think I’ll have to have Dorit [Kemsley],” she said with a laugh. “Sorry!”

It’s important to remember that the entire series was sparked by Scheana Shay’s affair with actor Eddie Cibrian, who was married to Brandi Glanville from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills at the time. While Brandi was pregnant with their second child, Scheana began dating him. Their dramatic confrontation at SUR, arranged by Lisa Vanderpump, marked the transition from one episode of Real Housewives to Vanderpump Rules, making it one of the slyest and most complicated crossovers ever!

As a lifestyle expert, I’d rephrase it like this: During the first season, I vehemently denied any infidelity with my then-girlfriend, Stassi Schroeder. However, in the final episode, I confess that, indeed, I was unfaithful to her in Las Vegas and fathered a child with another woman.

The confession left Stassi, as well as the entire cast who had previously supported and stood by him during their split, utterly astonished.

In the second season, one of the most notorious romantic entanglements occurred when Jax admitted to having a tryst with Kristen Doute, who was not only Stassi’s closest friend but also the girlfriend of his own friend, Tom Sandoval.

Initially denying it, Kristen eventually conceded that they had a brief encounter (without a kiss) during the finale. Interestingly, this happened as they were watching the movie ‘Drive,’ starring Ryan Gosling, with Tom dozing off in another room. The climactic event was Stassi’s infamous slap on Kristen, followed by Tom striking Jax.

Seasons later, Kristen later admitted to cheating on Tom throughout their six-year relationship.

After Ariana Madix became part of the cast in season two, Kristen began to harbor doubts about Tom’s friendship with his fellow bartender. Initially, it appeared as if Jax betrayed his friend by supporting the accusation, contrary to what was happening at that moment. Later on, following Tom and Ariana’s split in 2023, Jax – who departed the show in 2020 – shared an enigmatic post on Twitter.

He penned, “On that program, I’ve frequently stated things many didn’t believe; however, whatever I claim consistently turns out to be accurate.

Following their marriage in 2016, Tom Schwartz admitted to sharing a drunken kiss with one of Lala Kent’s friends during the sixth season.

When asked about the story, Schwartz stated that his memory of the event was vague. In a 2018 episode, he said, “It’s impossible. No, it couldn’t have happened,” expressing uncertainty. He recalled going to The Bungalow but insisted he didn’t remember kissing anyone. That night, he admitted, he got extremely drunk, but he did remember that.

Later on, Schwartz expresses confusion about his actions in a private reflection, stating, “I find myself genuinely puzzled.

However, there had been prior instances where Schwartz found himself unfaithful to Katie when intoxicated. In the third season, he openly admitted to having kissed another woman during such moments of inebriation.

After 12 years together, Katie and Schwartz announced their breakup in March 2022. 

In a 2014 broadcast, Jax accused Katie of infidelity by “motorboating” an unidentified man, having learned about it from Scheana. Katie was incensed by this accusation, and eventually Scheana apologized to her colleague for the misunderstanding.

In a Bravo blog post, Scheana clarified that she never accused her friend of cheating; instead, she shared her observations. After discussing the incident with Katie, Scheana now understands it was misunderstood. When Katie bent down to remove her shoes, her head was in a questionable position. Additionally, when Katie was dancing while intoxicated and moving her head back and forth, it appeared as though she was ‘motorboating’ someone. However, Katie did not cheat; Scheana believed she overstepped a boundary.

Through thorough investigation, such as examining Uber bills, Kristen discovered that her boyfriend, James Kennedy, had been unfaithful to her with one of Scheana’s friends in season four. Jax admitted in a one-on-one conversation that he wasn’t new to being found out for dishonesty. Previously, he had spent numerous months denying the accusations, but it didn’t prove beneficial for him. He further explained that his relationship with Brittany had encountered some tough times (as portrayed in their 2017 spinoff, Jax & Brittany Take Kentucky), which eventually led him to be involved with Faith.

Indeed, when Jax confessed, it left Brittany heartbroken, prompting her to exclaim “May you rot in hell!” Later on, despite initially parting ways, they swiftly reconciled and tied the knot in June 2019. Two years after that, their son Cruz was born.

On March 3, 2023, a significant event occurred within the BCU (Bravo Cinematic Universe), as it was officially announced that Tom and Ariana had parted ways after nine years together, following news of his seven-month relationship with Raquel.

In a heartfelt post on Instagram, dated March 8th, the co-owner of TomTom admitted to making errors, acting selfishly, and taking thoughtless risks that caused harm to someone dear to them. They acknowledged that no one should have to endure such intense and public pain.

He stated, “What grieves me most is the shame I brought upon Ariana. I didn’t intend to let down so many people, including our cherished loved ones and dear friends.

Additionally, Raquel publicly apologized to Ariana, acknowledging that she could not offer any justification for her behavior. In a subsequent communication, Raquel discussed the state of her relationship with Tom moving forward.
