Blackpink’s Lisa still has Bieber fever.
As a die-hard admirer, I can’t help but share my heartfelt feelings about that unforgettable moment when I crossed paths with the legendary Justin Bieber – yes, you read that right! Though our encounter ran like clockwork, there’s one thing I can’t help but wish I had done differently.
In an interview with The Guardian on March 23, the 27-year-old shared that back when she was younger, everyone seemed to be a fan of Justin Bieber. She confessed that she still remembers all the words to his popular song “Baby.” She’s had a brief encounter with him a few years ago, but only for a casual greeting. Due to her shyness, she didn’t express to him just how much he meant to her.
Luckily for her, the actress from White Lotus, whose real name is Lalisa Manobal, transformed that instance into a chance to learn, as she shared her genuine feelings with Rihanna during their encounter years later. (Although Lisa didn’t specify when they initially conversed, she expressed her excitement about their exchange at the Gala des Pièces Jaunes charity concert last year on Instagram.)
She mentioned that she had expressed her affection for Rihanna, and then proceeded to share one of her favorite songs by the artist. According to her, “Work” always manages to uplift people’s spirits.
Regarding Lisa’s encounters with celebrities, it’s not just Bieber that caused her to feel nervous. In fact, the actress who plays “Pink Venom” shared that she experienced first-day jitters while filming the ongoing third season of White Lotus. Her debut acting role was as Mook, a health guru and staff member at the Thailand beach resort.
She recounted to Variety in February that she was extremely anxious and perspiring profusely. “I kept thinking, ‘I’ve forgotten my lines. I’m drawing a blank!'” she said.
Lisa mentioned that Mook, who shares some characteristics with her (and has an affinity for the resort’s security guard Gaitok), is quite similar to her. This shared connection enabled her to embody the character in her unique style. In other words, she said, “Mook possesses traits that are reminiscent of mine. I simply had this thought: How should I portray Mook? However, I didn’t need to put much effort into it. She’s essentially a more flirtatious and feminine version of me, as in reality, I lean towards being more of a tomboy.

What do you think of that? The artist simply known as Lisa, formerly a global sensation with the K-pop group Blackpink (which includes Jisoo, Jennie, and Rosé), has now switched roles to portray Mook in her debut on the White Lotus staff.
It appears that Lucius Malfoy, in place of boarding the Hogwarts train, has checked into The White Lotus resort instead. To clarify: While he now sports a different look without his signature luscious blond hair, the Harry Potter actor is making a comeback on screen as another aristocratic character, portraying Timothy Ratliff, who is characterized as a “prosperous businessman enjoying a vacation with his wife and three children.
Isaac has recently been seen on television shows such as “Robot Chicken”, “The Great” and “Sex Education”. Notably, he also starred alongside his “White Lotus” co-star Aimee Lou Wood in some of these productions.
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I’d like to draw your attention to the captivating presence of Azie Tesfai, who breathes life into the character of Victoria Ratliff, Timothy’s wife in our beloved series. You might recognize her from her silver-screen appearances in films such as “Superman Returns,” “Blade: Trinity,” “Scream 3,” and “Dazed and Confused.” Her talent has also graced small screens through brief yet impactful roles on shows like “Parks and Recreation,” “New Girl,” “Portlandia,” and “Search Party.
However, diehard romantic comedy enthusiasts would recognize her as Patricia Eden, Tom Hanks’ girlfriend in the 1998 beloved film “You’ve Got Mail,” where she starred as Joe Fox.
Apart from being recognized as the son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver in family pictures, he has established his own identity in the acting world with notable roles in shows like Gen V, The Terminal List, The Staircase, and most recently Saxon Ratliff in season three.
Before playing the role of Piper, the Ratliffs’ daughter, Hook had already dipped her toes into the horror and fantasy worlds. She played Debbie Glatzel in “The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It”, Juliette Fairmont in “First Kill”, and Elena Milak in “Monsterland”.
Apart from recognizing her as Caroline Merteuil in the 2024 remake of “Cruel Intentions”, you might also be familiar with her from the Ryan Murphy-created universe, where she portrayed Catherine Allday Davis in “Impeachment: American Crime Story”, a series revolving around the Bill Clinton–Monica Lewinsky scandal.
Nivola, currently in a relationship with Iris Apatow, daughter of Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann, joins the Ratliff family as Lochlan in the latest production. However, prior to his Thai adventure, he was part of another series revolving around a wealthy beach family – “The Perfect Couple.” In this show, he portrayed Will Winbury, the son of Greer and Tag Winbury, characters played by Nicole Kidman and Liev Schreiber respectively. Notably, Nivola worked alongside Meghann Fahy, known for her role in “White Lotus,” who played Daphne Sullivan in season two of HBO’s series before transitioning to Merritt Monaco on “The Perfect Couple” on Netflix.
Apart from his roles, Nivola has appeared alongside Adam Driver in the movie “White Noise”, Bradley Cooper in “Maestro”, and Anne Hathaway in either “With” or “In” another film.
Indeed, viewers of White Lotus might recall Rothwell from the first season where she portrayed Belinda, the spa guru in Maui. Interestingly, she will reappear as the same character in season three. Moreover, this talented actress has made appearances in Insecure, Wonka, A Year and Change, and Love, Simon. Additionally, she showcased her comedic skills as a writer on Saturday Night Live from 2014 to 2015.
The actress who played Iron Man is gathering to take on the role of Kate in The White Lotus, following her portrayal of Christine Everhart in the Marvel series. In more recent roles, she has been seen as Dinah Donahue in Palm Royale and Grace Kennedy-Sampson in Jupiter’s Legacy.
As a devoted admirer, I can hardly contain my excitement as the captivating star from the Gilded Age, whom you might recognize from The Sinner, Fargo, and The Leftovers, is set to embody the role of Laurie this season. She’ll be joining her pals Kate and Jaclyn for an unforgettable girls’ trip in Thailand – a journey I simply can’t wait to follow along!
In her role as Jaclyn on “The White Lotus,” she’s not just acting; she’s a real-life television star with appearances on shows like “True Detective,” “Bad Monkey,” “Messiah,” and “The Path.” On the silver screen, she’s graced movies such as “Mission: Impossible – Fallout” as Julia and “Gone Baby Gone” as Angie Genaro.
You’ll have a sense of validation, understanding that it isn’t just your imagination—Goggins does seem familiar. Not only has he appeared in two films directed by Quentin Tarantino (as Billy Crash in Django Unchained and Sheriff Chris Mannix in The Hateful Eight), but he is also recognized for his role as Boyd Crowder on Justified from 2010 to 2015.
In the third season, a free-spirited character named Chelsea, played by an English actress, will be joining the cast. She embarks on an age-gap relationship with Rick Hatchett, portrayed by Goggins. However, she gained popularity for her role as Aimee Gibbs in Netflix’s Sex Education, and can also be seen in Seize Them! and Daddy Issues.
Over the past fifty years, her acting career can be traced back to roles like that of ‘Grounded God’ in 1975, but she more recently played Prani Chiraanan on ‘In Family We Trust,’ which aired in 2018.
This individual, who is both a skilled singer and a veteran of the military, boasts acting roles such as those in “Mechanic: Resurrection”, “Skin Trade”, and “Paradox”. Additionally, he played Pao on the television series “Farang”.
If you didn’t manage to identify the German actor within 13 minutes, let me jog your memory. He portrayed Rudolf Höss in “The Zone of Interest”, Reinhold Gräf in “Babylon Berlin”, and Georg Elser in “13 Minutes”.
