Liv Morgan Will Defend Women's World Championship at WWE Bad Blood

As a long-time WWE enthusiast who has witnessed countless battles and feuds unfold, I must say that the escalating rivalry between Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan, and Damian Priest is nothing short of electrifying! The tension between these three powerhouses has been building for weeks, and it’s reaching a boiling point with their match set for WWE’s Bad Blood in October.

Tonight during WWE Raw, The Judgment Day made an early appearance, challenging Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest to matches at October’s WWE Bad Blood event. Just before this confrontation, Liv Morgan versus Ripley was confirmed, but before the match could start, Judgment Day attacked Priest viciously in the ring. As her music played, Ripley limped into the ring to help her friend, but she too was overpowered and lost the fight. Eventually, Jey Uso appeared and managed to scare them away.

Over the past few weeks, the tension between us has been skyrocketing, all stemming from my defeat at SummerSlam, thanks to Dominik Mysterio’s treachery. After that fateful encounter, teaming up with Priest against Morgan and Mysterio at Bash in Berlin felt like a breath of fresh air, as we emerged victorious. During the WWE SummerSlam media junket, I had a chance to chat with ComicBook, and when asked about my dream match for Bad Blood, I couldn’t hide my excitement. “I would absolutely love that,” I said. “If I were to face off at Bad Blood, it would be me versus Liv Morgan – if she makes it through SummerSlam. This time, she can’t escape because it’s a real, no-holds-barred match.

The WWE event known as “WWE Bad Blood” is coming back after being absent for more than twenty years. Initially started as a single event, it evolved into a Pay-Per-View (PPV) that continued until 2004. Subsequently, it was replaced by “Vengeance” and “One Night Stand.” There were whispers in 2017 about the return of this PPV, but instead, the WWE introduced “Great Balls of Fire.” So far, only two matches have been confirmed: Morgan vs Ripley and Finn Balor vs Priest. No special conditions have been set for either match yet, but considering the heated nature of the ongoing feuds and the high-profile breakup being one of the main storylines in WWE, it wouldn’t be uncommon to see a stipulation added soon.

On October 5th, I’ll be eagerly waiting at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia for the thrilling event, WWE Bad Blood! To ensure it doesn’t clash with UFC events, we’ve got an earlier start time of 6 p.m. EST streaming live on Peacock within the US and the WWE Network globally. Keep your eyes glued to ComicBook for all the latest updates about Bad Blood and WWE!
