Live-action adaptations of anime are gaining traction, significantly boosted by Netflix’s successful launch of their “One Piece” series. Although North America is recently hopping on this live-action anime trend, Japan has been producing such adaptations for quite some time now. Series like “Rurouni Kenshin,” “Fullmetal Alchemist,” “Bleach,” “Tokyo Revengers,” and “Cells At Work” have already had their own films, with a major vampire-themed anime planning to join the list this year. Sadly, the project that aimed to bring “Baban Baban Ban Vampire” to life has been postponed due to uncontrollable circumstances.
Initially planned for release on Valentine’s Day (February 14th) in Japan, the live-action movie titled “Baban Baban Ban Vampire” was expected to bring a supernatural comedy adventure. However, due to unconfirmed reasons, the film has been delayed. The latest news suggests that this delay might be connected to the lead actor, Ryo Yoshizawa, who allegedly made an intoxicated mistake by entering his neighbor’s apartment instead of his own on December 30th. Yoshizawa has since apologized and moved out of the apartment.
A Vampire Delayed
On the official site of Baban Baban Bang Vampire, the Film Production Committee announced that due to a number of factors and after consulting with all relevant parties, they have decided to push back the release date of the movie “Baban Baban Bang Vampire,” which was initially set for February 14, 2025. They express their apologies for any disappointment this change may bring to those eagerly awaiting the film’s premiere and ask for patience and understanding.
This first love is absolutely not an option.

I’ve just received an update regarding the release of the film “Baban Baban Ban Vampire”. The new release date will be announced on its official website and social media channels as soon as it’s decided. If you’ve already purchased advance Mubichike tickets, hold onto them as they can be used when the movie is eventually released following the postponement. We appreciate your ongoing support for this film.
Where To Catch This Vampire Anime
The Netflix-exclusive anime adaptation of “Baban Baban Ban Vampire” marks a fresh start for their anime offerings in the new year. In this supernatural series, when 15-year-old Rihito falls in love, an old vampire who desires the blood of 18-year-old virgins is tasked with safeguarding his virginity at any cost.
The franchise originated as a manga from creator Hiromasa Okujima in 2021 and has so far published eight volumes of its printed story. As the narrative unfolds, it remains to be seen how successful the anime becomes, but with plans for a live-action film, there’s a strong possibility that a second season might follow suit.
