As a lifestyle expert with years of experience under my belt, I’ve seen my fair share of controversial figures in the spotlight. Logan Paul, however, stands out as one who has faced more than his fair share of criticism and backlash. His latest controversy involves allegations about harming his dog, which he swiftly denied and provided evidence to support his claim.
Logan Paul is shutting down some serious rumors.
In response to the recent resurgence of a 2020 YouTube video, the influencer firmly asserted that he did not intentionally harm his pet dog. A social media user shared this video on Reddit on August 22, claiming that the influencer had tried to endanger his dog by pushing it near a boat propeller in pursuit of content, and then attempted to cover it up by suggesting the dog had jumped off on its own.
On August 22nd, Logan posted a screenshot of a comment he had pinned on the initial video, which was from four years ago. The comment stated clearly that they would never, under any circumstances, force Broley to jump off the boat.
He leapt, and as he did so, someone was there, stroking him gently. When he leaped again, we tried to catch him, but it’s important to note that we didn’t actually shove him, he emphasized. “Pay attention to his movements,” he added, “and you can clearly tell that the jump was self-initiated and independent from our mutt.”
He also posted the moment Broley jumped into the lake in slow motion.
But Logan is no stranger when it comes to being embroiled in controversy.
As a lifestyle enthusiast, I must bring to your attention the recent uproar surrounding the popular beverage brand Prime Hydration, co-founded by the renowned boxer KSI. The brand has found itself at the heart of a series of legal disputes, one of which was initiated last month by the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee. They’ve accused Prime Hydration of infringing on trademarks, claiming that the company has been using phrases such as “Olympic,” “Olympian,” and “Team USA” in a way that allegedly violates federal law. According to the lawsuit reviewed by NBC News, these are the key points at the center of this controversy.
NBC News had reached out to reps for the USOPC and Logan but did not hear back.
Additionally, another project that caused him trouble was the now-defunct NFT game called CryptoZoo from 2021. The game faced criticism when users claimed it didn’t function properly. In response to these complaints, he declared a $2.3 million buyback program in order to reimburse participants about a year later. However, documents obtained by TopMob News reveal that he and his partners were involved in a class-action lawsuit filed against them as early as February 2023.
But among his most infamous controversies was his 2017 video where he walked through Aokigahara, which is known for being the location of many suicides and is referred to as the “suicide forest.” In the now-deleted video, he appeared to show a deceased body.
Following the major backlash, Logan apologized for his actions.
In a 2018 YouTube video, he admitted, “I’ve severely misjudged the situation and I don’t expect to be pardoned.” He went on to explain, “What we encountered in the woods that day was unexpected, and the responses you saw were genuine and unedited.”
He went on to say, “We were all at a loss for words and emotions. In hindsight, I wish I hadn’t shared the video. I ought to have ceased recording our experiences instead. There are many instances where I should have acted differently, but I didn’t. And from the depths of my heart, I sincerely apologize.”
