Ke Huy Quan, who portrayed Ouroboros (O.B.) on Loki Season 2, has hinted at a potential return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). In an interview with GamesRadar+, the Academy Award-winning actor expressed his eagerness to reprise the role in future projects. Quan shared his affection for O.B., stating he enjoyed playing him, found the character captivating on paper, and was delighted by the public’s warm reception. He suggested that he would be thrilled to see O.B. venture beyond the confines of the TVA and engage with characters within the main timeline.
It’d be fantastic if he could meet these comic book heroes I adore, such as Spider-Man and Iron Man,” Quan mentioned. Yet, he acknowledged that it’s currently in Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige’s hands whether he appears again. “Here’s hoping we get to see more of him,” the actor expressed optimistically.
In Season 2 of Loki, O.B. plays a significant role as a confidant to both Loki and Mobius M. Mobius. It’s uncovered that he holds a crucial position within the TVA, having authored their official manual. Utilizing his insights and skills, O.B. strives to devise a method for the Temporal Loom to encompass all the diverse branches of the Multiverse. By the end of the season, O.B. alters Miss Minutes and returns to his post in the TVA’s Department of Repairs and Advancement.
While there’s no official confirmation yet, Marvel producer Brad Winderbaum hinted that a third season of the popular show, Loki, might be on the horizon. Until then, fans can catch glimpses of Loki characters such as O.B., who also appeared in the comic series TVA, which made its debut in December 2024.
In a sense, Marvel may have overlooked an exciting chance to reinstate O.B. in the movie “Deadpool & Wolverine,” where the Time Variance Authority (TVA) plays a crucial role. It would have been thrilling to see Quan go head-to-head with actors like Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, but given the busy plot of that film, it could have been challenging to create a substantial role for O.B. Since both Quan and his Marvel Cinematic Universe character enjoy immense popularity, it might be disheartening if he reappeared only for a brief cameo with limited involvement. If “Loki” Season 3 doesn’t materialize, there could potentially be room for O.B. in either “Avengers: Doomsday” or “Avengers: Secret Wars,” which blend characters from the Sacred Timeline with the Fantastic Four from an alternate reality. Given that the Multiverse is central to these films, the TVA might play a part there as well.
As a die-hard Marvel fan, I’d love to see Quan return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe! With his exceptional acting skills and evident passion for the comics, he brought O.B. to life in a way that made him a beloved character among fans. The magic of Marvel lies in the dynamic interactions between its characters, so imagine the excitement of seeing O.B. sharing science with Peter Parker or trying to explain the Multiverse to Thor! Here’s hoping we get to see more of this fantastic character soon!
