This week, Games Workshop unveiled plans for a fresh version of their tabletop skirmish game, the Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game, inspired by the “Lord of the Rings” and “The Hobbit” movies. Remarkably, this new edition will incorporate content from the upcoming animated film “The War of the Rohirrim”. Details about this exciting new edition will be shared in the near future.
Titled “The War of the Rohirrim,” an upcoming film directed by Kenji Kamiyama serves as a prequel to “Lord of the Rings.” It delves into the reign of Helm Hammerhand, a renowned king of Rohan who courageously defended his people against the Dunlendings’ invasion. The fortification where Helm and his forces repelled the invaders is now known as Helm’s Deep, which later became the battleground in the War of the Ring. Interestingly, both the Rohirrim and the Dunlendings are featured in the “Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game.”
