Well, as someone who’s been through countless tales of friendship, love, and mystery in the gaming world, the trailer for Lost Records: Bloom & Rage has certainly piqued my interest! The nostalgic 90s vibe, coupled with the intriguing narrative and the promise of a choice-driven experience, reminds me a lot of Life is Strange – a series I hold dear to my heart.
DON’T NOD has released a new trailer for adventure game Lost Records: Bloom & Rage dubbed “Abyss.”
Here is an overview of the game, via DON’T NOD:
Travel back to 1995 with the captivating tale of Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, a fresh and thrilling adventure born from the imaginative brains responsible for the highly praised series, Life is Strange.
Spend my last summer in Velvet Cove, embodying Swann – a quirky introvert with a knack for framing life through my faithful camcorder’s viewfinder. I forged friendships with Nora, the rebellious spark that lights up the town; Autumn, the reflective guide who leads by example; and Kat, a mystery wrapped in enigma, her strength radiating like an unyielding force.
As we transition from creating tunes in Nora’s humble garage to whispering secrets beneath starlit skies, and delving into the enigmatic corners of our world, it promises to be an extraordinary summer, filled with moments that will forever linger in the memory of our blossoming sisterhood.
Back in the day, as summer faded away, so did our bond. A series of misunderstandings escalated into a fallout so profound it led to an unexpected parting of ways, with a silent promise never to cross paths again. Fast forward almost three decades, and destiny has brought us back together to dig up the old secret we left buried in 1995.
The girls’ promise, made all those years ago, forever altered the course of their lives. The reason behind this promise is in your hands as you make choices both in the past and the present. Shape the narrative of both timelines, in 1995 and in 2022.
What really happened that summer?
The first part of the “Lost Records: Bloom & Rage” series, which includes digital versions for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC through Steam, is set to release on February 18, 2025. The second part will follow on March 18, 2025. Additionally, a physical edition containing both parts will be available exclusively for the PlayStation 5.
