In a heartfelt disclosure, the star of “Love Is Blind” shared an account of a potentially life-threatening health incident he experienced last November 2024, stating that he wished he had addressed his feeling of being slightly unwell earlier on.

Kwame, who is 34 years old, shared in a video uploaded to his Instagram account on January 16th that when he finally managed to see a doctor in December, he had been experiencing high fevers for approximately three weeks. He also mentioned that he had lost around 20 pounds during this time. Given these symptoms, the doctor suspected it could be a variety of conditions, and one of those possibilities was cancer.

Thankfully, it turned out that the reality TV personality, who exchanged vows with Chelsea Griffin during the fourth season finale of Netflix’s show, wasn’t suffering from cancer, but was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis instead – a long-term condition characterized by inflammation and ulcers in the colon. Having gone through this illness at its most severe point initially, Kwame shared the insights he gained from this challenging experience.

He emphasized briefly, expressing that life holds immense value. It wasn’t until he found himself unable to perform his daily routines that he fully understood their significance in his own life.

Afterward, Kwame advised viewers to avoid repeating his errors, pointing out that “neglecting seemingly minor issues can escalate into significant troubles.” Additionally, he underscored the significance of recognizing and interpreting personal health signs.

He went on to say, ‘Knowledge is essential, for without it, you cannot engage or overcome whatever it may be.’

Kwame closed his message by thanking his well-wishers as well as his wife of two years.

He concluded by expressing his heartfelt thanks in many ways. He’s grateful to have found himself again, thankful for every person who extended their love and encouragement, and deeply appreciative of Chelsea, who was there for him throughout this journey.
