As a longtime fan of reality TV and a self-proclaimed Love Island devotee, I have eagerly anticipated the return of this summer staple for weeks. Having grown up watching the show since its inception, I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia and excitement as I watch the newest batch of singletons enter the villa in search of love.
Love Island has been dominating our days for the past six weeks with no end in sight, as the contestants continue to connect and enjoy their unforgettable summer experience.
In June, a total of 12 singles initially moved into the villa, each seeking love. Since then, several surprise entrances and departures have occurred, increasing the current number of residents to 14, who continue their search for true love.
Two new developments have recently emerged, which may cause some people to reconsider their allegiances soon.

What channel is Love Island on tonight?
Love Island debuted on June 3rd, taking over multiple channels. viewers could catch the premiere episode on ITV1, ITV2, ITVX, STV, and STV Player.
Ever since, I’ve noticed that Love Island has been gracing our screens once again on ITV2 and ITVX every evening at 9pm. Tonight is no exception, as it airs on Friday, the 19th of July.

When is the Love Island final?
As a devoted fan of Love Island for the past few years, I’m thrilled to share that I’ve just received some exciting news. The grand finale of this year’s edition is set to unfold on Monday, 29th July. I’ve grown attached to these contestants, living and breathing their dramas, romances, and the occasional heartbreaks. It’s become a part of my summer routine to tune in every night, and the anticipation for the finale is palpable. Can’t wait to see who will be crowned the winner on ITV2 at 9 pm!
Love Island 2024 host
Starting in January 2023, Maya Jama assumed the role of host for Love Island on ITV2. Over the past three seasons and various Love Island Games, she’s confidently led the popular dating show. She’s excited to continue her tenure by returning for the summer edition in 2024.
Before the new season began, Maya expressed her eagerness for the upcoming drama and shared her enthusiasm to assist the newcomers in finding love.
I’m really looking forward to going back to Mallorca this summer as it seems like we’ve had a long break since the winter events.
She expressed her excitement: “I’m all set now, the audience is eagerly watching, there’s a great deal of enthusiasm, and I can hardly contain my own anticipation to encounter this season’s islanders. Love Island marks the unofficial beginning of summer for me.”
Maya admitted, “I’m looking forward to some excitement. I’d love to see plenty of romantic relationships blossom, but I also crave tension and passion, so I’m expecting a fair share of heated arguments.”
Last Sunday (June 2nd), Maya expressed her apprehension on her Instagram Stories before her third hosting engagement.
She expressed her excitement but also admitted feeling a little anxious, sharing with her audience that it was as if an inner turmoil was bubbling within her.
“But [I’m] super, super, super ready for the summer of love to begin!” she concluded.

Where is Love Island filmed?
During the summer months, Love Island is filmed in the beautiful Spanish island of Mallorca. Specifically, the Love Island villa can be found in the area of Sant Llorenç des Cardassar.
The winter villa lies in the heart of South Africa’s Franschhoek wine valley.
Who won Love Island 2023?
Sanam Harriranapuram and Kai Fagan emerged as the victors in the chilly adaptation of Love Island during winter. They’re still a couple, and they announced their engagement in April this very year.
On Instagram, Kai shared a heartfelt post accompanied by a picture of him proposing. In the caption, he expressed: “Meet the future Mrs. Fagan [heart and ring symbols]. Words like beautiful, caring, loving, and smart barely do you justice. I adore you, I love you, and I’m thrilled to spend the remainder of my life with you [hearts].”
On Monday, July 31st, the ten victors of the summer season were announced. Among them were Jess Harding and Sammy Root, who claimed the first place.
The victors of Love Island: All Stars are Molly Smith and Tom Clare. They currently remain a couple and have even decided to live together.
