Two years following their victory on season five of ‘Love Island USA’, Marco Donatelli and Hannah Wright became engaged during a trip to Punta Cana.

In his May 29 Instagram post, Marco shared that he asked his one true love to be his forever, and she graciously accepted as they stood on the beach. From our very first encounter, Hannah and I have been inseparable – sharing every joy, every hardship, every giggle, and every tear, we’ve navigated it all together.

The 24-year-old saw a vision of their shared future with Hannah, who he referred to as his “beacon,” “pillar,” and “dearest companion.”

Looking at Hannah, his “guiding light,” “solid foundation,” and “closest confidante,” the 24-year-old imagined their future together.

Marco went on saying, ‘I’m eagerly looking forward to spending eternity with you, Hannah.’ Let’s raise a toast to this new phase and all those that follow!”

In a comment, Hannah, aged 25, joyfully cheered on their future while announcing her new status as “Mrs. Donatelli.

As a die-hard admirer, I must confess that I was utterly astonished when the reality queen and I weren’t just stepping up our bond, but also stepping out of the idyllic resort town with an engagement ring! Who would have thought such a romantic twist would unfold in this enchanting getaway?

In an interview with People on May 30, she expressed her astonishment. She hadn’t anticipated it at all. She believed their visit was purely for a holiday. Throughout the setup, she found herself tearing up as it seemed like a magical dream.

For several months, Marco had been thinking about this unique moment he was planning. It took him nine months in total to arrange everything, from sketching out the design for her solitaire cut diamond ring to finalizing the details last December. He acknowledged that perfecting the diamond was a lengthy process, but he was confident that all his preparation would be worth it.

In essence, the gemstone served as a representation of love and family ties. The diamond bore the inscription “protect my baby – RW”, which was a phrase Hannah’s late father, who passed away in March 2025, had shared with Marco. This wasn’t the only thoughtful touch that her future spouse incorporated into her eternal ring.

Hannah shared, “Upon taking it from the container, what caught my eye was that the diamond was connected to the promise ring Marco had gifted me on our one-year anniversary. This discovery stirred strong emotions within me, causing me to cry even harder.
