The long-awaited second installment of the Egghead Incident Arc began, setting the stage for Luffy’s thrilling rematch with Admiral Kizaru in “One Piece“. Fans are already eagerly anticipating the next episode due to an exciting twist that has emerged. The Marines’ Admirals are formidable villains known for their immense power, and back in the Sabaody Archipelago Arc, Luffy and his crew were simply no match for Kizaru. However, the Straw Hats have significantly improved since then, mastering new skills and even developing their Haki during that time. Kizaru has been dispatched to Egghead by the Gorosei and Akainu with a mission to eliminate Vegapunk and capture the Straw Hat Pirates. An unexpected plot twist occurs when Sentomaru, a Marine officer, turns against his own side to protect Vegapunk instead of confronting him.

In the context of their dynamic, Sentomaru was deeply saddened that Kizaru would attack Vegapunk. Despite his attempts to intervene, he lacked the power to offer much resistance. Alas, Kizaru allowed him to live but left him incapacitated temporarily. Immediately after the skirmish between them concludes, Luffy steps up to face the Admiral, delivering a powerful kick in the process. The One Piece Episode 1126 starts off their battle, as the Yonko transforms into his most potent form to secure victory.

One Piece’s Luffy Transforms Into Gear 5 in His Fight Against Kizaru

Initially, Luffy transforms into his Gear 4 shape, yet it’s insufficient to vanquish Kizaru. Despite this, Kizaru recognizes Luffy’s prowess as he now understands how the young pirate, Yonko, managed to conquer Kaido, the most formidable being in existence. Moreover, Kizaru makes it clear that he has no intention of eliminating Vegapunk, a scientist whom he’s known for quite some time. Sentomaru’s recollection reveals that Vegapunk and Kizaru weren’t merely coworkers but also cherished friends.

In the air, Kizaru launches a formidable assault at Luffy. Subsequently, he pursues Vegapunk and other Satellites. Before this, Vegapunk was in dire straits until Luffy intervened, grabbing Kizaru using his gigantic form during Gear 5 transformation. This marks the second time Luffy employed his Gear 5 form in the Egghead Incident Arc. Unlike his encounter with Lucci, who was noticeably weaker, Luffy didn’t need his dramatic enlargement for that fight. Consequently, viewers are treated to a stunning scene reminiscent of the manga, depicting Luffy capturing Kizaru within his colossal hand, chuckling as the episode concludes.

In contrast, Kizaru demonstrates immense power as a Logia user, so Luffy doesn’t need to be cautious. Luffy, full of energy once more, expressed gratitude towards the Admiral for pushing him so far away. As the episode concludes, the Iron Giant’s eyes illuminated red, hinting at a reaction to Luffy’s transformation. From my vantage point, it’s clear that Luffy’s Gear Five leaves even formidable figures like Admiral Kizaru grappling for solutions. Yet, there’s a palpable struggle within Kizaru, a conflict between his duty and his camaraderie with the old scientist, hinting at an internal turmoil that Sentomaru once faced. Given Kizaru’s unwavering loyalty to the Marines, it seems highly unlikely that he would defy them as Sentomaru did. Ultimately, the fate of the old scientist and the entire group rests on Luffy’s shoulders – will he lead them to safety in Elbaf?
