In the ongoing Elbaf Arc of the “One Piece” manga, the action is heating up with major characters engaging in a monumental battle. The antagonists swiftly move to invade the tranquil Giants’ island, driven by self-serving motives. Despite being the strongest race on the planet, these proud warriors also prioritize peace and unity within their nation. They maintain no allegiance with the World Government, thus retaining their autonomy. Regrettably, the World Government has viewed the Giants as a resource rather than territory for some time now, targeting them for their exceptional abilities to bolster its military power even further.
In the storyline of Elbaf Arc, it’s revealed that Gunko, a Holy Knight, foretells an imminent Great War. Initially, it was believed the world would fade away naturally, but Vegapunk’s warning about the future has ignited this conflict. Naturally, Imu and the World Government aren’t keen on losing this war, so they are mobilizing the Giants to fight on their side. They won’t hesitate to use intimidation, even against children, in their preparations. Meanwhile, as the siege on Elbaf persists, eager One Piece fans will witness the long-awaited alliance that has been building for months.
Luffy and Loki Are Ready to Join the Fight in Elbaf
In the Whole Cake Island Arc, Loki, formerly known as the Cursed Prince of Elbaf, was first hinted at being interested in marrying one of Big Mom’s daughters, Lola. However, Lola left her home to search for genuine love. Later, during the Elbaf Arc, we learn more about him as a captive who ended up killing his own father, the revered king of Elbaf. This tragic event occurred fourteen years ago in the Aurust Castle following King Harald’s assassination. Six years later, Shanks apprehended Loki and he has been kept imprisoned in the Underworld ever since.
More recently, he gained freedom following a pact with Luffy to exchange intel about Shanks. Loki, who’s been badly hurt due to Gunko’s torment, has seen considerable improvement with medical attention and proper nourishment. Luffy and Loki bear striking resemblances in their free-spirited yet obstinate demeanor, sparking theories about the next major alliance in One Piece. Their interplay has been quite engaging thus far, and Loki has quickly become a popular character among fans. While details about his past and the motive for slaying his father remain shrouded, there are enough clues to suggest that his actions served the island’s welfare in some way.
Only Loki and Jarul possess the truth about events 14 years ago, which may explain Loki’s animosity towards the Celestial Dragons. Furthermore, the full extent of his powers remains to be seen, but he is undoubtedly one of the most powerful characters in the story. As a mighty Giant wielding a legendary devil fruit and possessing formidable Haki, Loki could prove to be an invaluable ally for Luffy against the Holy Knights. Moreover, not just Loki, but also Zoro and Sanji are set to join the fray, so hopefully, it won’t be long before the villains are brought to justice on the island.
