As a seasoned music critic with decades of experience under my belt, I must say that the CMA Awards lineup this year is nothing short of breathtaking. The sheer variety and talent on display are reminiscent of a fine symphony, each artist adding their unique melody to the grand composition that is country music.
Luke Bryan will be there for Daisy Dove unconditionally.
It’s been shared that one of the judges on American Idol maintains contact with his previous co-star, Katy Perry (who departed from the singing contest show this year following seven seasons), and her relatives.
Luke shared an exclusive update with TopMob News during the 2024 CMA Awards on November 20th: “Katy and I occasionally exchange texts, and I make sure to keep tabs on her,” he said. “Having worked alongside her for seven years on that show, along with Orlando, we all fostered a strong friendship.
Luke, who is married to Caroline Bryan and has two sons, Thomas “Bo” Boyer Bryan (age 16) and Tatum “Tate” Christopher Bryan (age 14), also cherished Katy and Orlando’s 3-year-old daughter deeply, even disclosing the adorable pet name she affectionately calls him.
He remarked, “It’s always pleasant to check on them and inquire about Daisy. Perhaps she’ll address me as Uncle Luke for many years to come.
Now that Katy Perry has departed from the American Idol family, he’s been warmly embracing Carrie Underwood as the new member.
What Luke shared with TopMob was that Carrie essentially needs to pick up the skills on the job, as becoming a judge isn’t something you can learn in a traditional way or from a place like an “American Idol Judging Academy.
Given that Carrie won ‘American Idol’ in 2005, she jokingly remarked, “She attended the ‘American Idol Be a Contestant Academy’.
He noted that she’s fantastic with children. Her kindness and compassion shine through. She’s doing an excellent job and seems quite comfortable at the judge’s table.
To put it simply, I’ve been utterly captivated by the fact that my time on that ABC show two decades back essentially molded my understanding of the music world, as Carrie herself has openly shared.
She shared with the Must Watch Show in 2022 that she absorbed an enormous amount of knowledge, which remains relevant to her current work. Essentially, it served as a rigorous training ground for her, and she was eager to learn everything she could, which ultimately played a significant role in kick-starting her career.
