Macklemore Fan Invited Onstage Arrested for Outstanding Warrant

Oh, dear heart! It’s just tragic to hear about this poor soul who, in her sheer exuberance for Macklemore, found herself in a pickle that was far from the rhythm of “Can’t Hold Us.” Life can be unpredictable, especially when you least expect it. One moment you’re basking in the glow of your idol’s presence, and the next, you’re being escorted to an institution for the execution of a prison sentence.

It appears one Macklemore fan is having some bad days. 

At the Lovestream festival in Slovakia on August 17th, the singer of “Can’t Hold Us” asked a passionate fan to share a unique musical experience with him on stage. Unfortunately, this superfan’s excitement led her to be identified and taken into custody by Slovakian authorities due to an existing warrant against her.

Authorities tracked down the unnamed woman after she posted about her experience on social media, police said on their Facebook page Aug. 19, alongside a photo of the woman in a white tee with Macklemore draping his arm around her shoulders onstage.

 
However, her post “did not escape the attention of an observant citizen, who also follows the search for persons page of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Slovak Republic,” authorities wrote on Facebook, translated from Slovak.
 

“He recognized the woman and realized that he had just seen her on the above-mentioned page,” police explained, “and immediately informed the police about this fact.”

Law enforcement officers allowed the woman to complete her performance first, and then proceeded to apprehend the 24-year-old from Bratislava. It was reported that this individual had been instructed to serve a jail term, but it was claimed she had managed to evade it.

In the course of our discussion, it was shared that she was transferred to the correctional facility to serve out her imprisonment. The reasons behind her initial incarceration were not detailed, but it was clear that this step was taken as part of her legal process.

TopMob News has reached out to Macklemore’s reps for comment, but has not heard back.

Despite not openly addressing the arrest of his fan, the 41-year-old briefly expressed gratitude towards his audience in Slovakia, who endured the situation, as their performance was nearly cancelled due to a different problem – inclement weather conditions.

A threat to a show’s continuation can make each moment spent performing feel incredibly precious, as Macklemore expressed on Instagram on August 21st, accompanied by photos from the event. This newfound appreciation for the stage leads to a sense of gratitude that echoed throughout the entire festival.

He commented, “We were vibrant, drenched, and poured our hearts out. I’ll always cherish you, Bratislava. Our night together is something I won’t easily forget.”
