Last night on the 20th of March, the fourth season of the Madame Blanc Mysteries made its comeback, presenting viewers with a fresh crime to unravel. Meanwhile, the clandestine love affair between Jean and Dom continues to flourish.

After experiencing a health crisis during season 3, Dom chose to express his true feelings to his close friend.

He expressed that he doesn’t wish to squander any additional moments, and further added, “You are an exceptional friend, yet there is so much more to you that I’ve always appreciated.

Then, he gently enclosed her hands within his own. “You are among the finest moments in my life,” he said, “and I yearn for nothing more fervently than to share a life with you, if that’s your wish as well.

And thankfully, she said yes, with the pair then sharing a kiss and embracing one another.

She mentioned, “They have no desire for children, and since they are financially self-sufficient, there is no necessity for them to live together. They seem content in their independence, so there’s no need to hurry.

As a cinephile, I aimed to depict this love story as an exploration of their feelings before society steps in and tarnishes it. There’s a touch of excitement, reminiscent of school days, but magnified by the weight of life experiences.

Additionally, the series has a handful of bumpy scenes, and it certainly doesn’t flow perfectly. However, my intention was to let them experience their emotions firsthand, rather than telling the world about it directly. This is essentially what I aimed to depict through the series.

For a realistic duration, how long can they conceal their affection towards each other?

As I reflect on the emotional revelation at the end of season 3, it’s me (Jean) and my companion Dom who are discreetly exploring a budding yet clandestine romance.

As her fame grows for solving crimes and her extensive understanding of antiques, Jean joins forces with Police Chief Inspector André Caron to untangle a string of enigmas.

In the midst of new complications arising with each passing day, including the return of an old acquaintance, I find myself wondering: Can Jean and Dom navigate through this turmoil and maintain the strength of their bond?
