In a press release, Hangar 13 president Nick Baynes described “Mafia: The Old Country” as a concentrated, sequential adventure that blends compelling storytelling, accurate immersion of the era, and an enhanced version of the classic Mafia gameplay. This focus enables us to deliver a raw, realistic, brutal, and emotional narrative. Set in early 1900s Sicily, this is an origin story of the mafia where our main character, Enzo Favara, takes an oath and climbs the ranks of Don Torrisi’s crime family.

2K President David Ismailer stated, “We believe there’s a significant market for engaging tales without demanding extensive time investment. We’re thrilled to introduce a game like ‘Mafia: The Old Country‘ to our collection, and to deliver a linear, well-crafted narrative experience that can effortlessly coexist with the other games our players regularly enjoy.
