Following an early reveal a month ago, Hangar 13 and 2K have officially announced that “Mafia: The Old Country” is set to release on August 8th. This upcoming title will be playable on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5. For a sneak peek, you can watch the latest gameplay trailer below.
In the style of a precursor to the primary storyline, “The Old Country” delves into the tale of Enzo Favara, who seeks a improved life by joining the Torrisi clan in Sicily during the 1900s. However, this journey leads him to engage in various illegal activities, fight wars against rival families, and ultimately demonstrate his worth.
In the title, the layout reverts to a sequential pattern similar to the first two instalments, as adventurers delve into crypts, vineyards, opera houses, and other locations. The teaser indicates that you’ll employ stealth tactics to assassinate adversaries, toss knives, and resort to handguns and shotguns for a more audible strategy.
Adventuring through open landscapes on four wheels or horseback, occasionally engaging in high-speed pursuits with enemies in tow, is just one of the thrilling experiences Mafia: The Old Country offers. To add to its authenticity, this game boasts Sicilian voice acting and Italian localization. Keep an eye out for more updates! (From a passionate fan’s perspective)
