A fresh gameplay trailer for Mafia: The Old Country has recently been unveiled, and it definitely seems intriguing!
This game transports you to the violent and dynamic world of 1900s Sicily, filled with numerous shootouts, chaotic car chases, and fierce knife fights as they unfold within the criminal underground.
Glancing at it, it’s quite stunning, boasting an array of diverse landscapes that look fantastic. The preview combines both gameplay and story sequences, promising an appropriately film-like adventure.
The game is planned for release on PlayStation 5 on 8th August 2025, and it will cost you either $50 or £45. This price isn’t exorbitant, but not the highest either. If you’re interested, you can pre-order the game right now through the PS Store.
According to a press statement by Hangar 13’s president, Nick Baynes, the upcoming game is designed to deliver a concentrated narrative journey, blending captivating storytelling, an engaging portrayal of the given era, and a polished adaptation of classic Mafia gameplay.
He goes on to say: “By keeping our focus, we manage to present a raw, authentic, violent, and emotional narrative. Set in Sicily during the early 1900s, this is an account of the origins of a mafia family, chronicling the journey of our main character, Enzo Favara, as he swears allegiance and rises through Don Torrisi’s criminal empire.
2K’s President David Ismailer notes that there’s a significant interest in captivating tales that don’t demand extensive time investments, hinting that Mafia: The Old Country won’t consume countless hours. He expresses enthusiasm about adding this game to our collection and delivering an immersive, polished narrative experience that can effortlessly blend with the other persistent games our players regularly enjoy and interact with.
Apart from unveiling this fresh trailer earlier, I’m hyped that developers at Hangar 13 are gearing up to spill even more details about our shared gaming world later today!
