As someone who’s been playing “Magic: The Gathering” since the early 90s, I can’t help but feel like a kid at Christmas with all these exciting announcements! The news of a manga series titled “Destroy All Humans. They Can’t Be Regenerated” is music to my ears, and the exclusive card that comes with it? That’s just the cherry on top!

As a passionate gamer, I can’t help but marvel at the enduring appeal of “Magic: The Gathering.” Although an anime adaptation hasn’t been born yet, this legendary card game continues to captivate us with its unique blend of strategy and fantasy. In recent times, it has forged alliances with iconic anime entities such as “Cowboy Bebop,” “Hatsune Miku,” and the masterful horror maestro, Junji Ito.

Regarding “Magic: The Gathering”, although it doesn’t currently boast an anime series, one is indeed underway. Netflix announced last month their partnership with Wizards of the Coast to produce an original anime series within the “Gathering Universe”. Despite the Russo Brothers leaving the project, the anime production continues.

Although the Russo Brothers are no longer involved with the animated series, their deep-seated love for the game, along with their initial creative insights and contributions, played a significant role in shaping the project. We believe that this will create an enjoyable experience for fans of the game as well as those new to the ‘Gathering Universe’, offering them a glimpse into what millions of fans worldwide have appreciated for the last 25 years.
