The official website for the game “Magical Librarian Ariana: The Books of the Seven Heroes,” developed by Compile Heart and HYDE, has been launched, with initial details and images shared. This side-scrolling action RPG is set to arrive on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Switch in Japan this summer.

■ Prologue

1,500 years in the past, an individual bestowed upon humanity the art of magic. This influential figure presented humankind with four enchanted books titled “The Books of the Four Elements,” which harnessed magical power, and a “Scribing Tool” capable of generating such magical tomes.

After people became familiar with the ideas of “magic” and “magical abilities,” they began writing numerous magical texts using a tool called the Ink-Charm, or simply the Magic Pen.

In this collection of books, three are famously titled “The Triad of Phenomena” and are rumored to hold magical power akin to that of the “Books of the Four Elements.” These seven books are collectively referred to as “The Books of the Seven Champions,” and the institution responsible for preserving and repairing these enchanted tomes is known as “The Library.

A disturbance occurs within the immense repository of wisdom known as the Library, the wellspring of magical energy. It appears someone has interfered with the Tales of the Seven Heroes.

As a result, magic disappeared from the world…

Will she be able to mend each book correctly and unravel the Library’s secret in the process?

Ariana Virellis (voiced by ???)

The main character, who uniquely holds the ability to delve into books as if they were portals, is tasked with reinstating the Books of the Seven Champions. Simultaneously, she embarks on a journey to find her long-lost parents, who vanished when she was young.

John Berkeley (voiced by Ryuuzaburoo Ootomo)

Librarian in charge at the library where Ariana is employed. He assigns Ariana, who has a unique ability to access books, with the mission of restoring the “Seven Heroes’ Books.

Vester (voiced by Kikuko Inoue)

An automata made by Divina. She refers to Ariana as “Milady” and supports her livelihood.

Divina Orden (voiced by Sally Amaki)

A skilled sorceress frequently found delving into mystical texts at the library. She’s written numerous books on magic within its halls. She enjoys a warm relationship with Ariana’s parents and feels it’s her responsibility to guide and assist Ariana as she grows up.
