Mamie Laverock Leaves Hospital 3 Months After Falling Off Balcony

As a lifestyle expert with a background in resilience and recovery, I am truly inspired by Mamie Laverock‘s journey. Her story is a testament to the indomitable human spirit, one that refuses to be broken even in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds.

Mamie Laverock is making huge strides in her recovery.

After spending time at a Vancouver medical center following a fall from a five-story balcony in May, the actress of “When Calls the Heart” has now returned home from the hospital after recovering from critical condition.

On her official Facebook page, posted on August 19th, Mamie’s family joyfully expressed: “The dreams we held for Mamie have become reality!” or simply, “Mamie has returned home, a dream come true.”

To mark this special event, the Hallmark celebrity’s family arranged a festive setup decorated in rainbow colors, featuring a balloon arch and a vibrant cake. They also displayed a handcrafted sign showcasing a picture of the 20-year-old, accompanied by the sentiment, “Home is sweet home.”

Afterward, Mamie’s loved ones posted a video showing her being brought home in an ambulance, where she was securely positioned on a bed. However, even from the back of the emergency vehicle, she managed to express her delight at the family’s enthusiasm upon opening the door, exclaiming, “Oh, cool!”

During the past several months of Mamie’s healing process, her loved ones have been sharing updates about her progress with the public. Interestingly, the actress made her initial steps after her recent mishap, as captured in a video that was posted on her Facebook account on August 2nd.

In the video, Mamie dons boots on both feet while being assisted by two healthcare professionals, who help her navigate from the side of her bed using a walker.

She acknowledges, “It’s quite unusual,” she says, while her family cheers from behind the camera. “It’s quite shaky.”

Nevertheless, Mamie was able to make a few steps, causing the person filming her to shout excitedly, “Wow, she’s walking! Look, she’s moving!”

Mamie’s advancement is noted after approximately three months following an unfortunate incident where she fell from a five-story balcony at a hospital in Vancouver, as reported by her mother, Nicole Rockmann, stepfather, Rob Compton, and father, John Laverock, who described her body as being severely injured.

In a recent update on their GoFundMe page, it was shared that “she’s bravely bearing immense suffering yet refuses to yield.” They emphasized their hopefulness, stating they can only cling to the daily miracles and express gratitude for everyone’s prayers. They marvel at the remarkable nature of her story and have deep appreciation for the healthcare professionals who have provided exceptional care since May 26th.

During the unfortunate event when Mamie fell, she was receiving care for another urgent health issue. Following this incident, she was moved to a different trauma center. Her family has announced their intention to file a lawsuit against St. Paul’s Hospital, the location where Mamie suffered her fall.

Nicole said to the Los Angeles Times in June, “This is nothing short of amazing, and there will be consequences.” What matters most to us is Mamie’s recovery, her survival, her resilience, and her strength. It’s astonishing that she’s still with us.
