Mariah Carey gives brilliant impromptu EastEnders audition

As a seasoned movie reviewer with a penchant for all things pop culture, I must say that Mariah Meets Rylan is a delightful blend of two iconic figures from opposite ends of the spectrum – the Queen of Christmas and the King (or should I say Queen) of daytime TV.

An unexpected yet wonderful fusion has taken place, and who would have thought it? The realms of Mariah Carey and EastEnders have undeniably merged in a delightful manner that surpasses all expectations.

In the forthcoming BBC special “Mariah Meets Rylan,” set for broadcast this coming Saturday, 7th December at evening time, the undisputed Queen of Christmas will have a chat with TV host Rylan Clark.

In a recently released sneak peek by the BBC, we catch a brief preview of the upcoming episode, which turns out to be an unexpected audition for the soap opera “EastEnders.

In the video, Rylan encourages Mariah by saying that it’s as if she’s already landed a small role in the cherished soap opera. He explains to her that this is her chance to shine, implying that the producers are evaluating her performance.

In a bustling market setting, they find themselves engaged in a heated dispute. In an attempt to emphasize her point, Mariah adopts a particular English tone and asserts: “There’s no winning against me in this argument.

In a heated situation, Rylan instructs Mariah to leave, but she responds simply: “I’m not quite prepared to depart yet.” Then, the famous EastEnders theme song begins to play!

Indeed, as the winter season approaches, I find myself joining countless others in belting out the iconic tunes of Mariah Carey, particularly her timeless holiday classic, “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” It’s a festive tradition we all seem to enjoy!

To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the song, Rylan made a trip to Los Angeles for his initial encounter with the star.

In the BBC special, Mariah shares her story about creating the melody for her chart-topping song “Hero,” recalls various jobs she held before fame, talks fondly about her numerous appearances on Top of the Pops, expresses her affection for the show, mentions her musical inspirations such as Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, George Michael, collaborating with Jackie Chan and Westlife, and reflects on this year marking the 30th anniversary of her hit single “All I Want For Christmas Is You” and album “Merry Christmas.
