Mario Kart 9’s Mario Bros Circuit is a Desert Oasis You Have to See to Believe!

Among the highly anticipated games across gaming history, particularly given the numerous leaks regarding Nintendo Switch 2, the next installment of Mario Kart has garnered significant attention. Excitingly, Nintendo officially unveiled the Nintendo Switch 2 and unexpectedly showcased a sneak peek of the upcoming Mario Kart. Eagle-eyed fans noticed that it will accommodate up to 24 racers on a single track, hinting at a potential new item. However, what truly caught everyone’s attention was the unveiling of a new course in the footage. This chosen track may not be surprising due to its status as an iconic series staple; yet, it has undergone a fresh revamp, which we wholeheartedly approve of.

Enthusiasts of “Mario Kart” are familiar with the fact that each game begins the races on the Mario Circuit track. Over time, there have been multiple versions of the Mario Circuit, sometimes replaced by the Luigi Circuit or Luigi Raceway. These tracks usually possess a green, natural environment and tend to be relatively simple. However, the upcoming “Mario Kart” seems set to break this pattern.

Previously known as Mario Bros. Circuit, it appears this could be the revamped version of the track. By combining paths from both Mario and Luigi’s races, we anticipate seeing an integrated layout. Although there might be a fresh addition to Luigi’s Mansion track, for now. The footage, however, highlights a striking change in the theme of Mario Bros. Circuit – for the first time, it has swapped its green backdrop for a desert-inspired design.

As a devoted fan, I’ve had a sneak peek at Mario Bros. Circuit beyond the desert expanse. The race begins with us veering right onto a dirt track, although signs pointing to the left seem to block off a larger portion of the asphalt road, suggesting a potential route alteration throughout laps. The obstructed path curves around an elevated area where steps and umbrellas are visible, hinting at interesting landscapes ahead.

The muddy trail eventually joins a concrete highway, guiding players along a stretch with varying elevations. Before reaching Yoshi’s Diners, decorated in burger themes, there’s a boost pad. Inside Yoshi’s Diner, multiple routes seem to be available, some of which feature peculiar fire-like objects. Item boxes, vehicles resembling cars, and possibly train tracks are visible on the road as well.

Beyond the design of several tracks in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, roadside billboards are present as well. Furthermore, beloved characters from various Mario games, such as Yoshis, Toads, Shy Guys, and Hammer Bros., can be found cheering on the racers. Here’s a rundown of the advertisements and locations we noticed in the fresh footage of Mario Kart.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’ve got to say, the sneak peeks of the new Mario Bros. Circuit that Nintendo has shared are already looking stunning! We might get a better look at this track during the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct on April 2nd, but we’ll have to wait and see about that. The upcoming Mario Kart is expected to be given more spotlight during this event, considering it’s one of those games that really helps shift consoles off the shelves.
