In the realm of Mario Kart World, while acceleration plays a crucial role initially, you’ll eventually find that speed is essential to thrive in races. It’s not just about having the swiftest cars; those with a good balance between speed and acceleration, along with handling, can also outperform. Characters’ stats may compensate for any other shortcomings.
This manual provides details on every speedy vehicle within the Mario Kart Universe, along with tips for swiftly accessing them.
Stellar Sled
This go-kart is exceptionally fast, boasting the highest speed stat among all game vehicles and over twice its own acceleration. Handling is fairly manageable, providing good control during drifts to accumulate Mini Turbos and counterbalance the less-than-ideal acceleration. Its substantial weight makes it suitable for aggressive driving styles.
Billdozer
It seems that Billdozer boasts about a 50% faster speed compared to its acceleration, which can be utilized to bulldoze past competitors on the track. However, its equally hefty weight stat also means it requires more drifting to collect Mini Turbos due to its lower acceleration. Additionally, you’ll need to work harder to keep control because of its less responsive handling.
Big Horn
With statistics similar to Billdozer, Big Horn is able to keep pace evenly, nipping at its heels as they race together, swiftly overtaking other competitors on the track.
Roadster Royale
A remarkably well-rounded vehicle where all its specifications fall roughly halfway between the minimum and maximum marks, or at about 50%. Similarly, a versatile character would serve the purpose best, although you’re free to adjust based on the track conditions and your preferred playstyle.
Bowser Bruiser
In an off-track racing scenario, where speed and weight are more important than acceleration and handling, the Bowser Bruiser might initially appear slow or clumsy on the track. However, its unique ATV stats make it excel in rough terrains. To compensate for its less-than-optimal handling, you’ll need expert control. Leveraging every available acceleration boost will also be crucial to maintain a leading position.
Junkyard Hog
This three-wheeled off-road vehicle, classified as an ATV, boasts a fast speed and good acceleration. However, it lacks in handling due to its design. By giving it an agile character, you’ll be unbeatable on rough terrain.
Lobster Roller
This two-wheel-front, single-wheel-rear tricycle offers both swift movement and superior maneuverability. Its acceleration, while not quite reaching 50%, can be improved using Mini Turbos, which will be more straightforward to install given the enhanced control.
Reel Racer
A combination of high-speed performance, modest acceleration, and slightly superior handling positions this as an above-average choice for road racing. Its weight enables dynamic, assertive maneuvers when necessary situations arise.
Tiny Titan
Instead of excelling in acceleration, the Little Giant has impressive speed, handling, and weight. Combine it with a swift-starting character to maximize its performance, and make extensive use of Mini Boosters for optimal results.
W-Twin Chopper
As a gamer, I’d say this two-wheeler stands out with its top-tier speed stat, maintaining a solid acceleration pace that’s typical of its class. The handling isn’t quite like other bikes, but it’s manageable – even in tight corners. If you’re all about maximum speed in bike racing, this could be the perfect ride for you.
How To Unlock The Fastest Vehicles
In Mario Kart World, there’s no way to selectively open particular vehicles; instead, you need to earn 100 coins at a stretch to unlock a vehicle chosen at random from a pool of thirty. If you aim for all the vehicles, it requires a total of 3000 coins.
However, don’t worry! There are convenient strategies available to help you achieve this:
Farm Coins AFK
In Free Roam, make your way to Toad’s Factory, located in the central west section of the map. Explore the area to find conveyor belts transporting items and coins. Position your vehicle directly below where they drop off. By just idling there, you’ll collect approximately one coin every 4-5 seconds, which equates to 12 coins per minute or 720 coins per hour. Spending around four hours in this spot should net you enough coins for unlocking all the vehicles available.
Coin Dispensing NPC Vehicles
In Free Roam, you’ll encounter two types of vehicles that dispense coins: some leave three coins in their wake, while a seldom-seen wind-up NPC vehicle showers coins at a steady pace. If you happen upon this rarer model, don’t miss the chance to maximize your coin farming immediately. The coins aren’t released in a straight line, so you’ll need to move left and right to collect them. You can expect to gather more than a hundred coins per minute, with approximately two coins being dispensed every second.
The three-wheeled vehicles, which can also navigate water, are quite common. By gathering all three coins, additional ones will appear following a short delay. You’re free to follow this vehicle, but remember, you need to pick up the coins along a straight path and speed up to do so, then slow down to prevent hitting the vehicle and losing coins in the process. It’s also important to keep some distance from the vehicle for the coins to appear properly, and sometimes moving left or right helps collect the coins without causing collisions.
These vehicles will also net you roughly one hundred coins per minute.
Those are the ten fastest vehicles in Mario Kart World and how to unlock them.
