Mark Cuban & His Shark Tank Costars Reveal Their Most Frugal Behavior

As an ardent fan of Shark Tank, I find it truly inspiring to witness these successful entrepreneurs maintain their frugal ways despite their enormous wealth. Mark Cuban, for instance, reminds me of my own father who also refused to wear a watch after selling his first business – a trait I’ve inherited from him.

Despite the vast sums of money sitting in their bank accounts, the stars of Shark Tank still need to allocate funds for specific expenses.

To illustrate, consider Mark Cuban; he shared with TopMob News that you won’t find him spending extravagantly on a timepiece.

Speaking before the 16th season of ABC’s show, which marks his final one as co-owner, he revealed that when he sold his first company at the age of 29, the only watch he possessed was one given to him by his father. He removed it and set it aside, declaring, “Now that I’ve sold my company, I no longer have to work on anyone else’s schedule, so I will never wear a watch again.

Likewise, guest shark Rashaun Williams isn’t willing to open his wallet for wristwatches.

The venture capitalist mentioned that he had only ever purchased a single watch in his lifetime, which happened to be a Jacob & Co. timepiece. He acquired it while working on Wall Street at Goldman Sachs for approximately $25,000. However, two years later, the value of the watch plummeted to zero when Jacob [Arabo] was arrested.

Despite longtime shark Kevin O’Leary avoiding yachts due to their ostentatious display of wealth, and Lori Greiner being hesitant to splurge on a Lamborghini that could be damaged in an instant, fellow shark Todd Graves prefers not to travel privately on international journeys.

The CEO of Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers commented, “I’d rather travel by commercial airline for that amount [of money].

It turns out that Kendra Scott isn’t the sole shark on the hunt for deals; in fact, she never passes up on Labor Day or Memorial Day sales.

As a dedicated fan, I can relate when I hear about this incredible jewelry designer who kick-started her business with just 500 dollars, all while juggling motherhood in an extra bedroom. It brings back memories of my own financial struggles, and let me tell you, that’s a journey I never want to revisit. It’s her determination and resilience that truly inspire me.

Yet, there exists a single shark who firmly holds the view that money has no value or limit. In other words, as Robert Herjavec expressed, he is willing to purchase anything that brings him joy.

Shark Tank returns for its 16th season Oct. 18 on ABC.
