markdown # 5 Victory Conditions in Civilization 7

There’s nothing more satisfying than scoring a victory in Civilization 7.

In the newest addition to Sid Meier’s popular strategy series, gamers are provided with another chance to construct colonies and learn innovative strategies.

Just like in prior Civilization games, players have multiple paths to achieve victory as the game progresses through various time periods.

In order to achieve success, there are several conditions that must be satisfied along the way, yet it’s not strictly necessary to adhere to every step in the Legacy Path.

To put it simply, let’s discuss the winning scenarios in Civilization 7. Continue reading for a comprehensive understanding of how you can guide your civilization towards triumph.

How many victory conditions does Civ 7 have?

There are five victory conditions to earn in Civilization 7.

Based on the selected Legacy Path, each one presents a distinct goal for players to strive for as their settlement progresses across the ages, offering a different experience.

Ranging from military to economic, each one takes a bit of time to achieve.

1. Domination Victory: Conquer every last city on the map.
2. Science Victory: Research the final technology and build the Spaceport.
3. Cultural Victory: Reach a total cultural influence of 2000 or more.
4. Diplomatic Victory: Negotiate a World Congress resolution to your favor with at least 2/3 majority support.
5. Religious Victory: Convert all other civilizations to your religion and build the Holy City.
6. Golden Age Victory: Achieve five Golden Ages.
7. Score Victory: Gain the highest overall score when the game ends, considering factors like culture, science, gold, happiness, and military strength.

  • Score
  • Cultural
  • Economic
  • Military
  • Science

Once achieving the designated objectives within each Legacy Path, players are faced with a final task to seal their triumphant conclusion.

Below is a full breakdown of how players can earn each one.

Score

In the Modern Age, a win called “The Score” is secured when the Age Progression statistic fully advances to 100%, ensuring no other player initiates a different winning condition.

In case the Modern Era concludes, the individual with the most accumulated Legacy Points will be officially declared as the victor.

Cultural

To earn a Cultural victory, players need to have 15 Artifacts within the confines of an empire.

Artifacts can be discovered by sending out Expedition Teams that traverse different parts of the map, venturing beyond the territories of other players, where they unearth ancient artifacts.

After training or acquiring Explorer Units, players have the option to dispatch them on a mission to gather the Artifacts, thus enriching their empire.

As a passionate gamer, I’d say, “To showcase my treasured Artifacts, let’s construct a Museum within each of my expanding cities. Remember, each Museum can house only three Great Works, so I’ll need to establish at least five vibrant urban centers to exhibit all the necessary Artifacts.

After earning 15 Artifacts, players trigger the final victory condition.

The final condition requires players to build the World’s Fair Wonder.

Economic

For an Economic victory, players need to earn 500 Railroad Tycoon points.

These points are earned through cities that have Factory resources.

Similar to Treasure Fleets, the cities with Factory resources will earn these points automatically.

Once the 500 Railroad Tycoon points are earned, players will unlock the final challenge.

To achieve triumph, consider establishing a World Bank Office in every Capital City. This move will grant you access to the Great Banker unit.

Military

Scoring a Military victory in Civ 7 requires players to earn 20 Ideology Points.

In this rephrased version, here’s how you might describe the game mechanic: You gain Ideology Points when you capture a settlement for the very first time. Each freshly-captured settlement awards one point. However, once you’ve unlocked Ideology, you receive two points for every subsequent settlement you conquer.

Conquering a settlement that belongs to a leader with a different Ideology earns three points.

When the points tally is hit, the next step is to build the Manhattan Project.

When the Manhattan Project is built, players then need to complete Operation Ivy.

As a gamer, I’ve discovered an intriguing twist in the game’s military victory condition. Rather than accomplishing the operation, you have the option to overpower the opposing leaders and effectively eliminate them from the game, thereby securing your own dominance.

Science

If conquest isn’t your style, opting for a Science victory is an appealing alternative for gamers.

To do this, complete the First Staffed Space Flight after completing the other Space Race projects.

These are the projects required to complete:

  • Trans-Oceanic Flight – Research the Flight tech and build an Aerodrome in a city to begin.
  • Unlock the Aerodynamics tech to complete the Break the Sound Barrier project.
  • Complete the Launch Satellite project – Research Rocketry then build a Launch Pad to begin.

Once all of the above are complete, players will unlock the First Staffed Space Flight project.

Emphasizing on constructing Science modules expedites the process of mastering necessary technologies alongside Production, thereby enhancing the speed at which we can assemble more units.
