Martin Lewis turned down Celebrity Traitors – but regrets it now

Despite the buzz surrounding potential participants for Celebrity Traitors, there’s one well-known figure who was offered a spot but unfortunately couldn’t participate.

Journalist Martin Lewis disclosed that he was invited for a role in the upcoming TV show, scheduled on BBC One towards the end of this year, however, his schedule didn’t allow him to participate.

On Instagram, Lewis shared: “I’m not a backstabber, regrettably. The roster of Celebrity Betrayers has me green with envy. I was invited to participate, but declined due to my inability to devote the necessary time.

Initially, I didn’t catch the show at the time, but later on, I saw the final season and was really fond of it. Now, I’m a bit disappointed – even though I can’t find the time to watch more of it right now. A deep sigh…

It’s been said that Lorraine Kelly was another celebrity who was asked to join the series, yet she couldn’t make a schedule commitment.

In a similar manner, Daisy May and Charlie Cooper, a pair of siblings, had planned to be part of the show, but it was reported that Daisy May had to withdraw due to a scheduling issue.

Although the BBC hasn’t officially announced it, there are whispers suggesting comedians like Nick Mohammed, Joe Wilkinson, and Lucy Beaumont might participate.

Additionally, it’s been whispered that the list may also feature Joe Marler, David Olusoga, Niko Omilana, Mark Bonnar, Jonathan Ross, Ruth Codd, Tameka Empson, and many others could potentially be included as well.

A representative for the program stated: “The Traitors is a game involving deceit and falsehoods. It’s best not to jump to conclusions about who might be trustworthy until the game has started.

Patrons must exercise some patience as we determine who will don the role, stepping into the famous fortress for an intricate dance of deceit and cunning in the upcoming game.
