As a seasoned gamer and Marvel fanatic with over two decades of experience under my belt, I can hardly contain my excitement about the upcoming lineup of Marvel shows on Disney+! The release schedule for these highly-anticipated series is nothing short of a dream come true for us comic book enthusiasts.

As a diehard Marvel fan, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news! It appears that Disney+ has shed more light on the release dates of upcoming Marvel shows. The lineup includes “Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man,” “Eyes of Wakanda,” “Marvel Zombies,” and “Wonder Man.” Previously, there were speculations about the premiere date for the Spider-Man animated series on Disney+, but those seemed unfounded. However, if this new listing is correct, we’re looking at a 2025 debut for Spidey! The animated shows “Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man” and “Eyes of Wakanda,” along with the live-action “Marvel Zombies” and “Wonder Man,” will join our screens then.

Here’s the updated release schedule for Marvel shows on Disney+:

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has already confirmed the launch date for “Daredevil: Born Again,” while “Ironheart” is set for 2025, though a specific release date hasn’t been given yet. The launch dates for “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man,” “Eyes of Wakanda,” as well as the release windows for “Marvel Zombies” and “Wonder Man” are all new announcements.

Apart from revealing the release dates, Marvel also shared some exciting updates. They unveiled logos for “Eyes of Wakanda” and “Wonder Man.” The former is a four-part animated anthology series focusing on various warriors throughout Wakandan history. These heroes are assigned to travel globally in search of Vibranium artifacts, with strong ties to the MCU as per Marvel’s streaming television head, Brad Winderbaum.

In a conversation with Marvel’s Official Podcast, Winderbaum stated that “Eyes of Wakanda” has a unique connection to the MCU compared to other animation projects. It’s essentially a tale about the history of Wakanda, and it is supervised by Ryan Coogler and directed by Todd Harris, who previously designed the Hulk vs. Thor fight in “Thor: Ragnarok”.

“It’s an awesome show. The action is insane and the storytelling is fantastic. It’s both about the history of Wakanda, but also expands into the greater MCU at different time periods,” Winderbaum continued. “If you’re a fan of the movies, I think this show is going to be a real treat.”

Wonder Man is part of the Marvel Spotlight collection, which includes shows that aren’t as deeply tied to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This means viewers who aren’t well-versed in the background information can still enjoy these shows. Echo was the initial venture into the Marvel Spotlight, and now it’s Wonder Man‘s turn to lead the way.

In a new role, actor Yahya Abdul-Mateen II has been announced to portray the main character in “Wonder Man”. Marvel’s Kevin Feige hinted at some unique differences we can expect when compared to their previous series.

Kevin Feige, during an interview on The Official Marvel Podcast, expressed that Marvel has always been known as the “House of Innovative Ideas” and he hopes it will continue to be so. This implies constantly exploring fresh storylines and characters in uncharted territories. There will be successes and failures, but giving up is not an option because that’s when creativity dwindles and the entire system collapses. Instead, the focus should be on telling captivating, unique stories in distinctive ways. One of our upcoming projects is a show called “Wonder Man,” which we’ve shared very little about. I can only reveal that it’s significantly different from anything we’ve produced before.
