Having followed the Predator vs. Wolverine and Predator vs. Black Panther series, it’s clear to see that Benjamin Percy has a knack for crafting gripping narratives that blend these iconic characters seamlessly.
In the upcoming crossover, Spider-Man faces off against the Predators – a major event that marks the collision of the Marvel Universe with 20th Century Studios’ properties, now owned by Disney. As we’ve seen with franchises like Predator and Alien moving into comic books, these iconic space creatures have already squared off against Marvel heroes in stories such as Predator vs. Wolverine and Alien vs. Avengers. With Predator vs. Black Panther concluding, fans are now eagerly anticipating Spider-Man’s encounter with the Predators in 2025.
In issue #4 of the “Predator vs. Black Panther”, penned by Benjamin Percy, Chris Allen, Craig Yeung, Jonas Trindade, Sean Damien Hill, Lee Ferguson, Erick Arciniega, and letterer Travis Lanham, the confrontation between the Yautja warriors and the King of Wakanda ends with Black Panther emerging victorious, for now. Although the Predators have withdrawn from Wakandan territory, leaving its people safe once more, they managed to escape with the valuable Vibranium they sought. The last page hints at a future invasion as the Predator King sits on his throne, suggesting another Earth invasion. As we flip through the pages, we catch a glimpse of the cover for “Predator vs. Spider-Man” #1 and learn that the next bout of chaos in the Marvel Universe is scheduled for 2025.

In 2025, I’ll be joining the hunt as Spider-Man, leaving the bustling streets of Wakanda for the concrete jungle of New York City. After crafting tales like “Predator vs. Wolverine” and “Predator vs. Black Panther,” Benjamin Percy is back to weave another Predator story, this time with Marcelo Ferreira by his side. It’ll be intriguing to witness how the Predators handle their encounter with the incessantly talkative web-slinger, yours truly.
As a gamer, I can’t help but wonder where the Marvel-20th Century Studios crossover is headed next. Could each of these standalone tie-ins be building towards a massive event series? The fact that Jonathan Hickman and Esad Ribic are behind Aliens vs. Avengers alone makes me believe this could be the case. Who knows, maybe one day we’ll witness an alliance between Alien and Predator, aiming to bring down the Marvel Universe!
But for now, we can look forward to Predator vs. Spider-Man taking place sometime in the new year.
