Marvel Rivals beta: UK start time and end date confirmed

As a seasoned video game critic with over two decades of experience under my belt, I’ve seen it all – from the rise and fall of genres to the evolution of graphics and gameplay mechanics. With Marvel Rivals set to begin its closed beta this coming Tuesday, I can’t help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation.

Tomorrow (July 23rd), a new group of people will have their initial experience with Marvel Rivals during its closed beta test, which begins on consoles and computers.

NetEase and Marvel Games have joined forces to create Marvel Rivals, a team game featuring an abundance of well-known heroes from the Marvel universe. This team-based shooter brings the action-packed world of Marvel to life.

Featuring a distinctive artistic flair and reminiscent of Overwatch, this game has piqued the interest of many dedicated followers. Keep reading to discover when its beta will be held.

When does the Marvel Rivals beta start?

For players in the UK, the Marvel Rivals beta will start at 11pm BST on Tuesday 23rd July 2024.

If you want to be part of the action right from the start when the servers are turned on, be prepared to burn the midnight oil!

As a long-time gamer with a preference for Marvel-themed titles, I’m thrilled to share that my excitement for the upcoming Marvel Rivals beta has reached new heights! With my gaming setup spanning across multiple platforms – PC via Steam, and the latest consoles like PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S – I can confidently say this beta caters to a broad audience. The convenience of being able to enjoy the game on any of these devices is a testament to modern technology’s advancements and my personal adaptability as a gamer. This versatility allows me to engage in the Marvel Rivals community regardless of the device I choose, making my gaming experience more accessible and enjoyable than ever before.

Indeed, cross-platform multiplayer, or the ability to play with others on different devices, is included and will remain an option throughout the game’s tenure.

When does the Marvel Rivals beta end?

The Marvel Rivals beta will end at 8am BST for UK players on Monday 5th August.

Have you ever considered an alternative that might be appealing? Keeping awake all night long, engaging in fierce competition until the servers shut down, and then proceeding to your job.

If you’re curious about where you can get involved, we’ve learned that the beta testing will take place in Europe, the United States, and Asia.

Is there any difference between the Marvel Rivals platforms?

We’ve already mentioned that the beta will be available on PS5, PC and Xbox Series X/S.

Will there be exact parity between those platforms? Not quite, it turns out!

To ensure a pleasant gaming experience on the Xbox Series S (XSS), given its memory restrictions, the developers have made necessary adjustments.

As a passionate filmgoer, I understand the importance of smooth gameplay in my immersive cinematic experiences. That’s why I appreciate the developers’ decision to temporarily halt the Past Lives system, MVP animations, and Highlights. By doing so, they minimize potential memory issues that could hinder the enjoyment of the game.

Our team is dedicated to continuously improving both memory and graphics on the XSS, ensuring an ideal balance between the two.

With confidence, the debut edition will bring back the Past Lives feature, minimum viable product animations, and Highlights to XSS, providing a fully engaging experience for everyone.

Based on my passion for Marvel comics and tabletop games, I’m thrilled to share that this week, you only need a few essentials to dive into Marvel Rivals: Axiom and hopefully have a fantastic gaming experience! Having played numerous tabletop games in the past, I can assure you that Marvel Rivals offers a unique blend of strategy, competition, and immersion into the Marvel universe. So gather your friends, read up on the rules, and get ready for an unforgettable adventure!
