As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I must admit, I’ve seen my fair share of gaming phenomena. However, the lightning-fast rise of Marvel Rivals has left even this old dog impressed. With its engaging gameplay and the allure of our beloved Marvel characters, it’s no wonder this free-to-play hero shooter has swept the gaming community off its feet.
At the very end of this year, one of the biggest hits was unveiled – Marvel Rivals. Released earlier this month, NetEase Games’ free-to-play hero shooter has quickly gained massive popularity. As expected, it has sustained its strong initial momentum and continues to draw an ever-growing number of players, achieving yet another significant milestone.
On Twitter, NetEase Games developer announced that Marvel Rivals has exceeded 20 million players across all platforms. This figure was previously at 10 million, a milestone achieved just three days after the game’s release. Given its young age of less than two weeks, the rapid growth in its player base is noteworthy. It will be intriguing to observe how effectively it can sustain player engagement over the next few weeks and months. For now, it has made a strong foundation upon which to grow.
