Marvel Rivals Gameplay Trailer Showcases Psylocke’s Psionic Abilities

As a seasoned gamer with a soft spot for Marvel characters and a keen eye for intricate game mechanics, let me tell you that the latest reveal of Psylocke in Marvel Rivals has sent a thrill down my spine! With my years of gaming experience under my belt, I’ve seen many iterations of Psylocke, but this Sai version, inspired by Peach Momoko’s Demon Days: X-Men, is something truly unique and refreshing.

Following a short sneak peek yesterday, NetEase Games unveiled the authentic gameplay trailer for Psylocke within Marvel Rivals. The character showcased isn’t the standard Earth-616 Psylocke, but rather Sai – a ronin from Peach Momoko’s Demon Days: X-Men. As a Duelist, she favors engaging opponents at close range to defeat them.

Her psychic powers are useful for that purpose, enabling her to move swiftly (which is advantageous when navigating rooftops). She can also become invisible at times, and her final move consists of attacking nearby foes with quick slashes. Notably, Momoko collaborated in designing her character, while Alpha Takahashi, known for portraying Hanako Arasaka in Cyberpunk 2077, provides her voice.

Beyond what’s already been hinted, the trailer tantalizes with another possible unveiling – Moon Knight. While it hasn’t been officially verified, a silhouette can be seen darting past the moon under the cover of night (and it’s unlikely to be Batman)).

On December 6th, Marvel Rivals will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms. At its initial release, you can choose from 25 different playable characters. Keep an eye out for additional updates and character reveals over the next few months.
