As a seasoned gamer with countless hours logged into the realm of superhero battles, I must say, the arrival of Hawkeye in Marvel Rivals has sent my adrenaline soaring! The sleek design and the fusion of ranged and melee combat options are reminiscent of a certain dynamic duo from Overwatch.
Following hints about his appearance in Moon Knight gameplay, NetEase Games has officially announced Hawkeye as a playable character in Marvel Rivals. This version of the character sports a mask, which gives him one of the slickest looks we’ve seen in video games to date. Here are some of his abilities for you to explore.
As a skilled Duelist, Hawkeye specializes in battles at medium distances, delivering charged shots and inflicting significant damage on headshots. He’s also capable of firing a spread of explosive rounds up close, but his true danger lies in his katana, reminiscent of his Ronin alter ego. This sword not only deflects bullets from afar but can also push enemies back, sometimes even off the map.
Hawkeye appears to be a blend of Genji and Hanzo, two characters from Overwatch, surprisingly, as they were initially one character in the early design phases. Unlike them, his Ultimate ability sets him apart, generating phantom images of enemy heroes for him to fire upon. The exact implications of this are yet to be fully understood, so keep an eye out for further updates on this intriguing ability.
